Well maybe they don’t all sit round the office computer and read it all together,or even ever admit to reading the cage. But I’d bet my last dollar that at least a couple of them have a sneaky read at bedtime ! 😉🤣 The Panthers definately do not reading the cage, whats gives you this idea.

Last player on the roster arrives. Malmquist. A club spokeswoman said today: “At least he’s here now so we can build on that. Dylan is the last of this year’s team to arrive in Nottingham. He’s unlikely to debut this weekend but the rest of the team will take on Midlands rivals Coventry for the Aladdin Cup at home on Saturday at seven o’clock. Good seats are still available.”

In fairness straight off the aeroplane isn't the best prep.
Give him next week in training, the Challenge Cup is pretty easy work anyway, can't we not get knocked out of the group stage this year?

Give him next week in training, the Challenge Cup is pretty easy work anyway, can't we not get knocked out of the group stage this year? The last placed team in the other groups have their games expunged from those finishing above them and the table is revised. The top spot teams from all groups will go through automatically as seeds 1-3,which leaves all the other group contenders being seeded in order thereafter. These teams once seeded gives the 4-8 place qualifiers from THAT remaining set of teams. We could end up out of it still at that stage if we haven't done enough overall against the others. Did that make sense? Explanation in 'Fixtures thread' under CUP detail. So ONE team misses out, let's hope that one team is not us.

There's no "revising" tables this year. The top 3 in group A (Giants, Stars, Flyers, Clan) go through and 4th gets eliminated. Then the top 2 in Groups B (Devils, Blaze, Flames) and Group C ( Panthers, Steelers, Storm) all go through. The 2 teams that came third in this groups has a one-off game for the 8th spot. eliteleague.co.uk/2019/07/01/challenge-cup-format-confirmed-for-new-season/

The 2 teams that came third in this groups has a one-off game for the 8th spot. There's nothing more Gary than that playoff game, I bet he wants us to finish 3rd Does show the group is largely pointless, so our opening pair with Sheffield can serve as Malmquist's preseason.

We are in group A (whoops last seasons info) then Group C - I have mailed them.

The excuse that Simms gave for it was that this format gave us more meaningful games, when in fact it gives you less. We could forfeit all 8 group games and win the single 3rd place game and progress, it’s stupid. The format would have been better if we’d just played 4 group games, but then we wouldn’t get to play Sheffield more times than we need to, diluting the rivalry even further...

Shandy league perhaps?

Anyway, back to topic if peeps can let me know who does not dress. Who gets the points inc pens and netminder stats... though I may get details elsewhere nice to check. Most importantly will be tomorrow's stats as no promise of any game sheet/ contact for numbers. Less any Coventry fans can help.
