I’d say we look like this now:
Pither Guptill Perlini Rheault Farmer Henderson Kovacs Lacho Doty Betteridge
I think the 4th line looks to be set, the 2nd and 3rd I feel could be chopped and changed, and we need two first line wingers to compliment Pither.

OK looks promising again. Just wondering how many of these forwards are centres? Perlini yes - but I thought Henderson is a winger ?

This is my only concern at the minute, I’m not sure how much experience they have in that position but both Henderson and Doty have been listed as playing their before but will they be suitable, or has Cherno got other players lined up for those positions.

Can’t see any higher than 3rd line for Guptill.
Some decent/good signings so far,but in the forward lines we need some X factor star quality, because we don’t have enough yet. Those last two forwards still to be signed need to be good, very good.

I also wonder if we will carry a spare or two like Cardiff do!

I am thinking he must have someone lined up. I thought we lacked a good passer there last season and wouldn't like to rely on players who can do.

Slightly confused with our potential line up as farmer guptill lacho Henderson are all lw where as betteridge perlini rheault and kovacs listed as rw with doty and pither as centres.
have I got positions wrong or can certain players play different positions? I googled anyone that said just fw on their profiles for their positions. otherwise it looks like Henderson or guptill are in our top lines so it could look something like
Henderson pither rheault Guptill import perlini Farmer import kovacs Lacho doty betteridge
Just for fun I looked at d lines as well
Olson hughes Lepine Lee Billingsley tetlow
All that being said maybe I have it wrong in terms of line ups for the forwards but if not do guptill and Henderson have enough to contribute enough offensively on their lines?

When it comes down to it we have 3 imports left to sign? Two forwards and one D.
I'd hope and lightly assume the two forwards will be high end and the defenceman much smaller but much more offensive.
It's nothing but a suggestion, not a rumour as such. But Dave Steckel has just left his DEL team (Nurnberg). He's got a vast amount of experience, he's a centre and 6'5". Perhaps not as high point scoring on paper as we may require but I feel he could do a lot of damage. Despite being 36.

Most underwhelming signing of the summer for me so far. Not writing him off as I never do and I really hope he does well. I guess it's also to do with what we already have signed. We had 3 forwards left to get and I was expecting wow signings for points production. Not judging him as a bad player, just more the balance and how he fits the team. If he is completing the bottom 6 then i'm sure he can do a role and do it well. The last 2 forwards must be top liners with real quality. Import Import Rheault Perlini Pither Kovacs Farmer Henderson Doty Guptill Lacho Beteridge If you genuinely think this guy is 4th line and Rheault is top line, I'll have a pint of what you're on. One of my key mantras at first look at a new player is that a player is only as good as his last season (e.g. 30 points in the AHL 6 years ago means little now, if you got 10 points in the SPHL last year) and Guptill had a cracker last year, 60 points in 65 games in the ECHL is an indicator of a serious offensive player, in very good "form". Same argument, for me, applies to Rheault. Just the other way round. Anyway, let's see. Proof of the pudding etc, opinions are like, erm, noses, everybody has one.

This bloke looks decent to me. I'm hoping we have 2 top line wingers and a left shot offensive D left to sign. Oh and a spare who can play forward and D wouldn't go a miss.
IMPORT PITHER IMPORT
GUPTILL PERLINI RHEAULT
FARMER HENDERSON KOVACS
LACHO DOTY BETTERIDGE
KELSALL
IMPORT HUGHES
OLSEN BILLINGSLEY
LEPINE LEE
TETLOW
GARNETT
GOSPEL

LEPINE LEE TETLOW GARNETTGOSPEL That looks spot on to me Rob. As long as Pither has learnt how to take face offs instead of getting chucked out and those last two forwards are quality.

LEPINE LEE TETLOW GARNETTGOSPEL This looks good to me as well Rob. Bearing in mind Henderson has played over 300 games in the AHL, without putting up massive numbers, I’m hoping he will excel in other areas i.e. faceoffs, penalty killing, defensive plays. In my eyes that would make him very effective, plus he will pick up points playing with Farmer and Kovacs who are both creative. Doty is the unknown, I’ve looked at Braehead’s highlights from last season and there isn’t one time I saw him playing centre (always RW), Doty has played centre before though according to EP. We have to remember that Lacho can also play centre, it’s going to be interesting to see how everything falls into place.
