Gutted, one of the bright spots last season in what was a pretty dismal season... Dont think he had his best ever game to finish but overall the best keeper we had last year..

One of the best keepers in the league, if not the best. Makes an interesting conundrum for the new coach, then...

It's a 3 year deal he's signed too in Denmark at a pretty below average team, though it is his home town.

When he was good he was excellent but he was also prone to some howlers too from time to time. Interesting to see what we will do next.

Denmarks national game has been going great since I used to see them in Europe years ago.So although the team may be average, could he be on a winner as regards showing his talent? May shine through and prove his worth.Maybe better there than in an average team over here.

Maybe he wants to play for his local side on a three year deal? Who wouldn’t snap the hands off of a deal like that?

A three year deal at 32, in his home town is probably a really attractive proposition. It'll also allow him to have an eye on what to do when he finishes. Good luck to him.
From a Panthers point of view, it's a bit of a shame but best to know now and start planning accordingly.

It’s a no brainer, three year deal, I’d imagine he’ll be on decent wages, plays with his brother, close to his family, in his native country, it’s a dream offer really. Now let’s go get Dan Bakala. Bit of a stretch considering he played 31 games in the DEL last year but he’s 30 now and if we offer money and education it could be tempting

We won't get another goalie in and to be honest I'm questioning if we should. Gospel is our long term option. However another goalie would restrict his ice time. Only way we should sign another goalie is if garnett leaves.

Obviously will depend on what Chernomaz wants to do, but we could go for something more like what we originally intended last year with Zakharchenko, with Mike as the obvious #1, but backed by Sam and another, younger import. Then again, no CHL or Conti Cup this year, so perhaps they'll view that as fewer games to play so no need.

Is Gospel under contract after this season? Wasn't mentioned when he signed, but then again it never is. Would be nice if the club could put out a list of who's under contract for next year already, happens every year.

But that means they would have to keep the loyal fans updated/informed and that isn't in their remit

So does that mean both parties have to OK it still, but it's just a continuation of the same deal if they do?
What's Lachowicz on? Free agent or longer term?

Lacho is a FA. Farmer is on a longer deal.
This is just what I believe to be the case. No reason to doubt though.

Hope he’s back for next season; definitely needs more ice time for his continual development.

Not suggesting he's bashing the Panthers (or me) I was stating (in jest) from the previous remark) that it was just as good in an average team over there as here, IF that's what the person was suggesting themselves.ie) I was supporting his move like yourself.

Only way we should sign another goalie is if garnett leaves. I don't think we should either. There's no point having Gospel if we're going with two imports again - and I certainly don't think we should get rid of Gospel. Garnett SHOULD be the best nettie in the league, and one of the jobs the new coach has got is to make sure he performs like it. That means getting the d in front of him the right style of player and playing the right system to get the best out of him.

On resume I agree Garnett “should” have been the best goalie in the league but something has got to have happened last year for us to sign Galbraith. My guess is Garnett either decided he couldn’t play two games back to back every weekend or his University stuff got in the way and he found it tough to do both things properly. It wasn’t that long into the season when we signed Galbraith and Garnett had played extremely well in the first couple of months so why else would we have signed Galbraith. For that reason I can’t see Panthers going with just Garnett as an import goalie next season.
