I definitely want them to get promoted, it'd be a real boost to have them playing the big boys, however badly we'd get smashed. Said the other day that I imagine there are a few nations in that sort of bubble, up and down between the World Group and 1A, I'd be happy for GB to be one of them.
Bit of a goalfest in the first game today, Kaz 3 Slo 4 at the moment with 20 to play.

SLO & KAZ are getting a bit testy out there, the third period could be quite interesting.

Slovenia win, 5-3. Beat Italy and we go top with 1 to play That's going to be a tough ask... from what I've seen, Italy have consistently been the toughest team this week.

Christ, only the Ehrhardt wrecking ball between us and a 2-0 lead right now.

Christ, only the Ehrhardt wrecking ball between us and a 2-0 lead right now. Although Bowns coming out like that was more than a bit suspect...

Don’t know what he was thinking rushing out his net If he comes out and jist goes for it he might have made it. Instead he starts and then hesitates when he's always in no-mans land, the worst possible decision.

Goalie change for Italy, was that just for poor performance or injury?

With the way Bowns has been playing he is allowed one error - Swindlehurst was silly but things like that happen and may make their players think twice - Ehrhardt is young and will learn - coaches will know what to do

Goalie change for Italy, was that just for poor performance or injury? He let in a shot from centre ice. Definitely poor performance.

Farmer, perlini and betteridge have been brilliant in this tournament so far. It will be interesting to see what chernomaz can bring out of them.

Can’t say the same for the starter for Italy. He was shocking. Dan Green could have saved the 3rd

He should be better than this. Don’t want to sound like I’m obsessing with him but he’s on ice for almost every goal conceded.

The way I see it. Which I think is correct.
Anything other than a Kazakhstan regulation win and GB will be promoted before they even play Hungary. If Kazakhstan do win in regulation then GB just need any point. But if they lose in regulation to Hungary then they will miss out on promotion.

Absolutely incredible effort. Were under the pump for most of what I watched (second half basically) but some superb stuff defensively and from Bowns. Nice finish from Perlini for the winner too.

I'm not sure either, but it would certainly help if Kazakhstan are out of the running. If we lose to Hungary we'll likely be in a 3 or 4 way tie on 9 points, and if that mini-league contains Kazakhstan our 6-1 defeat isn't useful if it then comes down to goal difference. Easiest to just get something against Hungary
