Can someone clear up the Continental Cup qualification process?
As I understand it the Playoff winner gets the place but if they win the league and qualify for the Champions Hockey League then the spot goes back to the League and it's the runners up who get the spot. Is that right?

Is that right? Nope, Challenge Cup winner.

3rd/4th gets 5000 fans in, the league won’t budge if that keeps up Nail, Head, Hit.

Bermuda brewed beer won’t sell itself!! Next year it’s being sold in coconuts with paper umbrellas with Notts Building Society on them. Gary can get the players in some Hawaiian themed jerseys then. I’m sure Warrior can sort them out.

Best team won, again. Glad the Yorks came up short, Thomo trying to make out Sheffield and Cardiff have been close to one another in some way in his interview before the game was delusion in action. Glad he'll be with them for the rest of time (or until he falls out with Simmsey).
The game was OK, must say though that the intensity and speed could be ratcheted up several notches for me, all weekend in fact.

Well done Cardiff - a quadruple. We have finished 4th, 4th, 4th and third. We at the moment tare along way behind and its not a question of winning say the Cp again. There are a lot of wait and see people regarding next year. Over to the "organisation".

Glad Cardiff won The Play Offs, they deserve it. I'm guessing that Fife are going to but the team that qualifies but doesn't win it.
Must admit I thought that Sheffield were going to do it again and equilize late.
Great atmosphere throughout the entire weekend.
I do wish however, that they tighten the timings on the Sunday, surly seeing as it wasn't being shown on a TV Channel, the Final could have started at 1500.
There was too much of a big gap between the end of the 1st game and warm ups

Had a brilliant weekend. Was nice to watch some hockey and the best team won.
Happy to be able to give CN & DC a clap and a song to say thanks for all their efforts over the years.

After saying I wouldn't go I bottled it bought a ticket but I had a fantastic time. Only went on the Saturday, though.
Thought the first game was a bit boring, Fife needed to get the first goal really to have a chance, once Cardiff went ahead then Fife just looked like they didn't believe they could turn it around.
Our game I thought for a neutral would have been great to watch. It summed up our season though, unable to play to the end. Such a shame because the first 40 minutes I thought we were terrific. Definitely a case of us bottling it rather than Sheffield winning it.
Atmosphere the whole day was great. The league did nothing to add to the atmosphere but I honestly don't think they need to. If however you aren't going to do anything then stop raising the prices please.
In a perfect world I'd love the league to look into getting a temporary ice plant in the MEN(or whatever it's called these days). I don't know how much it'd be, I don't think anybody does but I think we just won't look into it because it's easier for the league to just hold it in Nottingham. I think in Manchester though you could easily see well over 10k fans. We'd have the same numbers as we normally do from the "big teams" if not more and I think you'd definitely see more fans from north of the border.
If we are going to stick with the finals weekend structure and league attendences continue to grow across all teams(apart from Edinburgh it would seem) then the NIC just isn't big enough and other venues need to be looked at. We shouldn't be in a position to turn fans away from the leagues showpiece final. I know Sheffield isn't ideal but it is the next step up if MEN/O2 isn't feasible.

Just re watched the highlights, Oh for a Kowalski! At least 3 maybe 4 of Sheffield's goals were down to poor net minding. We were much the better team on the day and should have had the shot (I think Cardiff would have beaten us fairly comfortably) at giving DC & CN the perfect send off.
