Good goal by the goalie killer in fairness to him, usual move Good move but shocking from mosey. No way he should have let Armstrong get to the net so easily

How on earth did Bussieres miss! Sums up his year.
Steelers are lucky imo. Couple of scappy goals that went in. We were best for most of that game. But we just invited trouble in the last period way too passive.

Missed clear cut chances, couldn't get them off the puck in our zone, always seems to be a player free in our zone, concede a late equilizer and loose in Overtime.
Sums up our Season really.
They had it

I agree in that the game summed up our season, plenty of times we are have been ahead and lost or taken it to overtime to just grab a win. Steelers weren’t particularly great and a more clinical team would have finished them off. Fair play to them, a few of there goals were scrappy but id take a scrappy win any day, winning is all that matters.
Think Steelers will win and on the plus side I think Thommo will stay if they do haha

Sorry Corey but that game has just shown why your time is up. How many times have we taken a decent lead into the third and and just sat back and tried to defend it. Theres been a few occasions, most notably the game against fife when we were 4-1 up. He just hasn't learned his lesson. We looked for better than steelers and all we did was just hand the impetus to them. We looked confident and slick in 1 and 2 but as soon as we sat back we just invited the pressure and looked nervous on the puck as a consequence and couldn't clear the zone

Question guys `n gals... I`ve been watching our beloved Panthers now for 20 years seeing the last 2 games in the old barn. My memory aint what it should be but where and what format did the the play-off finals take before they came to the NIC?? I believe generally it was the same format as now...although I'm sure they had one season at the MEN when the semi finals and finals were on different weekends but someone else could correct me on that? Cheers for that Higgy...

We threw that away. Pure and simple. Steelers didn’t win it. We lost it.
They weren’t all that and Moose was dreadful to put it mildly. We led by 2 goals twice. Still lost. Bussieres with his trademark back post fan on the empty net. Galbraith letting an absolute dribbler through his legs, Brown not shooting at the sieve when clean through in OT, usual very late goal conceded.
From 40 minutes on that game encapsulated our season.
Gutted. Off home for a curry and to watch the golf.

I think this season's team was a team that looked better when they were trailing game, as soon as we go a couple up we looked as nervous as hell.

PS I dont think we have anywhere nearly as good a defender as Werner since he went.

Always thought we would lose the entire game. Didn’t think their first goal crossed the line. There’s no goal line camera, the ref looked at an over head and called it in after barely looking at it??? It was a good game, but poor quality of hockey. We’ve only turned in about 8 great performances all season and 5 of those were in the chl. Thank you to Corey and Clarke, some great memories but both stayed 2 seasons too long. Big big changes and improvements needed next season. No interest in the final tomorrow.

Watched with a lot of fervant Panthers fans in the Legends. Watched the usual 'hand over' of a game at the end. Can't see a game out.. let the Steelers in after a lot of good work done.
Gutted.

Devils fan who was at the game.
I honestly have no idea how your lot managed to lose that one. Better team than Sheffield by a country mile, who were even dump and chasing on power plays.
The threat the Steelers offered was mainly following mistak a by Panthers players.
I thought Panthers would have been better served to keep pressing even at 4-2, because you could see the change after their third.
The only comfort I take from the Steelers winning is every fan I’ve bumped in to in town from anywhere but Sheffield telling me that they’ll be cheering for us tomorrow.

As much as I hate to say it - Panthers season has been mediocre to poor
- Panthers lost tonight for not turning up for the full 60 minutes again
- Panthers need to clear out or gas some of their players that are on two year deal if possible
- Panthers need a strong new coach with a pedigree of winning things and install this mentality in to the players
- Panthers will lose to Fife tomorrow as they have nothing to prove!

Regarding the NIC - good to have extra seating in, but there is a real lack in toilet facilities - ridiculous queues - also the announcer was inaudible.

Terrible third period. Looked listless and unmotivated. Just about par for the season.

This. That was totally what was wrong with that 3rd period. We were negative and played with a losers mentality. We had our foot on their throats and we should't have taken it off

Wouldn’t mind a new venue next season for the finals, when does the agreement with the NIC run out? Tough to find a place that has as good a location as the NIC with the bars, pubs, hotels, restaurants and parking all close by.
