Anybody have any idea who our last forward could be? Lots of people on Facebook and a Twitter are praying it’ll either be Lindhagen or Mok... would probably condem us if it was either of those tbf This last signing has to be of high quality, looking at the rest of our team I expect we have the funds available to sign a star.

I was wondering earlier just where the Building Society cash has been spent ! Tbh, personally I always thought it would end up as extra profit... rather than unlock the spending needed to match the Devils. Increased season ticket sales and that massive sponsorship should be used to compete with Cardiff.. I’m still praying we will be carrying a minimum of one out-player spare, and that the 15th is a stud.... as last season we started with 15 imports, although two were netminders, until one was caught up in match fixing. But the intention was to start with 15. Looking at our roster does it look, more or less expensive than last season? Thoughts?

I’d say this years roster certainly doesn’t look any more expensive than last year. Especially considering our most expensive Brit is no longer on the roster. Lépine,Rheault and Olsen will have cost decent money, but probably no more than Sauve,Mosey and Derlago. Plus no Galbraith this year either. No idea where the BS cash has gone, but it ain’t on the roster so far. 🙄

I know He's on a second year of a two year but I can imagine we would have had to offer more to keep him in the UK. We have a fair amount of AHL experience in the team which may count for something where wages are concerned but TBH none of them are on the up. They don't come to the EIHL to forward their careers, apart from the odd few. For the last spot I would like to see us pinch someone who was destined for one of the better leagues in Europe. It would also start to show Europe that we are serious about our hockey. I don't think Lindhagen would be worth a punt as spare I'd rather see someone who could challenge for a place rather than just being there for injury cover.

Somebody like Jeremy Morin or Curtis Hamilton would be great

Oooh i am cynical ! Lol. 🤭🤣

Chernomaz close to “final” signing.
No spare import by the sounds of it.

Mmmm could still be either Bussieres or The Mok as both left handed forwards and neither have signed elsewhere yet. I do keep banging on about Bussy but only for the fact you just wouldn't put it past the club to have him back...lol

While people may be reading too much into the quote from the article, a name I’ve not seen anyone mention is Shalla

Mok was good but if he were to return I'd like to see more from him.
Bussieres and Lindhagen are straight up no's as far as I'm concerned. Bussieres is just woeful and Lindhagen is a decent defensive forward but contributes near to nothing offensively. He'd be a good fit somewhere like Dundee or MK where they'll spend more time defending.
For me, the last forward has to be 20+ goals capable with some speed, and most importantly, actually here for training camp (Unlikely).

It was #welcometonottingham earlier which has meant a new player thus far.

Now that could just be one quid more obviously....!!

Lol No but a Rich has mentioned ‘he’s part of the jigsaw’ which panthers used a lot . Maybe it’s common terminology in the hockey world.
