Panthers announce Pete Edwards as their new S & C coach. Apparently he's worked with the club for 3 years in a similar capacity but I guess he will now be spending more time with the players so hopefully a good thing and we'll see a full roster on the ice a lot more often this coming season.

Did Neil Black listen to the fans then?!
Brilliant news! Looks like we might take next season seriously for the first time since 2013!

Well its about dam time. It is ridiculous that a professional team hasnt had a strength and conditioning coach for the last 3, 4 or however many seasons its been.

Correlation doesnt equal causation. Can somebody translate this please ! 😳 When you take an action and then see an effect. Doesnt mean that the action is definatley the cause of the effect. Or Stop stroking your ego. Your complaining may not be the reason we signed a strength and conditioning coach.

Your complaining may not be the reason we signed a strength and conditioning coach. I see I don't think I've ever really mentioned an SnC coach much so I can't take any credit for that one. Plenty of people have though and it worked. 😀

Sounds like some of the players have been going to him already, hopefully they've been the more durable ones. Important signing.

So Mr Black said at the Q&A that Panthers would get an S and C coach for 2017/18 season. When does the season start? Maybe the other "promises" will come true, maybe not. I guess we will have to wait for 7th August.

One promise down still got to deliver on players though. Fingers crossed he manages to surprise everyone sign the right players and give us a good chance of a league title.

Hopefully with this and the partnership with Physio Direct we don't sign any Schultz like players who will sit out games because they have a bruise.
One big step forward, hopefully we don't take anymore backwards steps.

You honestly think professional players would choose to sit out games because they have "a bruise"? A deep tissue contusion can severely limit mobility, especially if the area of contusion contains larger blood vessels, tendons or ligaments. Puck strikes to relatively unprotected areas (such as the back of legs and sides of the torso) can be serious matters and playing through such injuries could be potentially career ending. Would you be happy to play through something that a spectator dismisses as "a bruise" if it could end your career? Marking on the surface does not tell the whole story.

You do remember that Schultz got called out for not playing because he had a knock? Look at the NHL playoffs, players don't consider their health too much there do they? Guys playing on torn ligaments, fractures, all sorts.

But to compare sitting out a Saturday night at Fife against the Stanley Cup playoffs...... hmmmmmm

I guess it shows why certain players never made it in the bigger leagues anyway!
