For anyone who hasnt seen it yet: m.nottinghampost.com/defiant-corey-neilson-urges-nottingham-panthers-fans-to-understand-the-reality-of-their-situation/story-29993906-detail/story.htmlA few things jump out at me about this. 1/ Corey's right when he says injuries will cost you games. But im sorry for me that is a cop out on what happened in November. When we lost 9/11 games it wasnt us being ahort benched. Its that we were awful. Honestly some of the worse Panthers performances in the last 15 year. We'd have lost those games with a full team if we played that way. 2/ If the answer is so obvious and injuries really are the reason we lost all those games THEN BRING IN REPLACMENTS!!! This is what is so maddening to fans. How have we got to the point where we have 4 d men? 3/ Is this Corey's way of havin a dig at the managment? Maybe he's not being allowed to bring in replacments.

The fans know what's going on. We were cack last season and we are cack this. Sign a squad, cover injuries or tell us why you can't. Why did we axe kalus and not replace him? Why are our brits distinctly average? Why did we not upgrade on oakford when we had the chance? Why are we constantly playing short while our rivals draft replacements in a couple of days?
Weak excuses. One decent league season and some heroics in the cups in 10 years. Not really good enough for the countries wealthiest and best supported club.
Brehead feeling it to now the money is being diverted to London khl team instead of them.
What? All the players will be back and fit for Europe? What a surprise.
Start criticising the fans? Get out and take gm and nb with you. Customer is always right.

Corey's playing short theory is just an excuse for his poor recruitment and both his and the managements terrible lack of forward planning for the season.
If the team are truly so knackered......how did we beat Cardiff after losing in Belfast and all the travel,it doesn't stack up ?

Corey's just moaning and not coming up with answers. He reckons we should be more tolerant of players efforts while playing short when he's been moaning about players attitude in games for the last few weeks! Make your mind up!
Ever year since the Grand Slam we've struggled with injuries and endlessly looking for injury cover (that's 4 straight seasons).
How about we sign up a proper, no nonsense Strength & Conditioning coach... even if it means forgoing an import slot. Most will have heard Brock Wilson wax lyrical about the importance of S&C training in order to minimise injuries as he does for guys like Cam Janssen who powered through last year without issue.
We may have some physio's signed up full time but they only deal with injuries after they've happened!
But then what do I know... I'm a stupid fan who should shut up and put up.

What a load of BS that is Corey.
Other teams are coping with the same teams.
If you want to avoid injury hit seasons perhaps avoid signing injury prone players. How many players have we signed in the last 3 or 4 years that have come to us on the back of a major injury the previous year.
forget about ability, Wiikman, Waugh and Schultz should have never have been brought back.
That article is just Corey's arrogance again thinking that he is the best and he never does anything wrong and if it goes wrong it is every ones and any ones fault but his own.
He cant blame the schedule they agreed the schedule. if they are that bothered about a tough schedule then then crash out of the Challenge cup in the first round and focus on the league.
That article just makes me want him gone and gone now.

All I'd say is those self same fans pay more for tickets and merchandise than any other fans in the league. They turn up I significant numbers home and away, show loyalty beyond reason and yet once again are treated with contempt by the Panthers management. Poor recruitment, clueless coaching, a continual issue with injuries and a constant failure to find cover but don't dare have an opinion. We're being shafted and being told to accept it.

OK here it is AND on the fixtures thread soon.
Since 1955 when ONE league was played for and omitting the 1960's when leagues were inconmplete and 1982 when the whole country was divided from each other in two National (English/Scottish) leagues.
Teams who have won a League
Sheffield NINE TIMES Murrayfield ** Durham FIVE Belfast FOUR times Cardiff Coventry Paisley Dundee THREE times ** Fife TWO times Nottingham Ayr ONCE Bracknall Brighton Harringay Manchester Streatham ** Wembley
** won additional regional leagues
Obviously some teams in competition more than others.

Thanks spik, Seeing that in black and white is shocking. Can you do another column showing how many league campaigns each team has competed in.
