Although I'd personally just have a point each draw after 60, I'd prefer to see games decided in play than in the shootout, so if this helps with that all the better. Should be a good spectacle too.
To expand the discussion a bit, what would people like to see the OT rules be for big games (CC Final, PO games)? This year we had 20 minutes of 4-on-4 in the Cup Final, which seemed rather half way between the NHL style full-strength, continuing periods Playoff OT, and the reduced numbers 5 minute effort.

Like it.
The whole penalty thing seems a bit confusing though? According to that article, TK states that if a team goes into OT on the PP then it's 5 on 4 at the start of OT and not 4 on 3? I don't get that? Why not go 4 on 3?

Would also like it better if they changed the points awarded to :-
Win in regulation time - 3 points Win in overtime - 2 points Loss in overtime - 1 point
Cannot understand why if a game is settled in normal time there is only two points available but if it goes to overtime then an additional point mysteriously appears

3-on-3 is the best thing the NHL has implemented in years and years.

Having watched Seguin-Benn-Klingberg tear up 3 on 3 at times this year, I am excited.

First of all why do we follow the North Americans? Make our own rules. 3points a win doesn't actually make much difference bar widen the gap between top and bottom. But if it supports regulation 3rd period excitement it's ok to do. I like a draw asYotes/GM etc.... As regards OT the 3-3 situation might help avoid penalty shots which should only be reserved for finals.

Because it sells and it's the standard at which hockey is widely held to, I'd rather replicate NA hockey than let the idiots than run this league make their own rules up.
