With the Devils choking like a man being strangled to death, The Giants comeback from the death and the Evil Empire building a Death Star of good form having already force-choked the Devils, we are STILL stay in this damn title race.
This is crazy. What a weekend we have coming up! This is men from the boys stuff. We could be sitting just below the summit with our opponents trembling or we could be 5th in the league, we could then follow that with the ecstasy of a cup win in the heart of the evil empire or we could be crushed.
I'm as negative as any (except maybe Iginla), but until the whistles blow on Friday and Sunday.
I BELIEVE

Good for you Kiev... me I gave up on the club about a week after xmas when it became clear there was no further money to be invested in the team after the good form they showed before the break was not capitalised upon.. Its odd to think at that time we were 10 points ahead of Sheffield. I suspect all the efforts of this club will now be placed in the cup final which again I think we will win but all this will do is hide an underlying lack of investment in the ongoings of the playing staff throughout the season which imho has scuppered any real chance we had on winning the league for a second time in modern history... All I will say is well done Sheffield for winning back to back league titles and supporting your playing staff and bringing in suitable quality replacements to maintain your league challenge.. glad I got that out of the way so I don't have to say it later and now I can wash out my mouth with soap to get the taste away and hopefully it will be a bad omen for them...

To be fair I had given up Friday. And after losing 3-0 at home to the Devils. And probably a couple more times. But we keep getting back in it from a mix of our good form and other results.

Isn't this more exciting than having brought in extra imports at Christmas and cantered to the league title a month ago?
Probably not, but it f we do pull it off there should be a combined remake of Miracle and Scrooged

If Panther's did win the league ( miracle required or divine intervention take your pick), you know CN would dine out on the for the next 3 seasons like he's done on the 12/13 season, do we want another 3 seasons of dross after wining the little by 1 point or less, no thank you. So going into the last game knowing a win gets us the title you'd want us to lose?

So going into the last game knowing a win gets us the title you'd want us to lose? Yes, if it mean Panther's get a new coach for next season. What about you, do you want a title tied to a CN return next season I can't believe what I'm reading here. You'd seriously want us to blow a chance of winning the title so Neilson goes? Granted chances of winning are slim but if we win then I'd be delighted. It's all about the silverware, not who is the coach!

but if we win the league I couldn't care less who the coach is/was. IF and the odds are very very heavily stacked against us as we are only maintaining just about .5 hockey, but IF panthers win the league then I would be highly surprised but mostly feel elated (although it cannot help but be twinged with a little frustration but mostly elated).. A league win is a league win however you get it.. look at last year as teams above panthers limped to the finish line, I am sure no one from Sheffield cares that everyone else felt Braehead threw it away...
Give me the win everyday rather than the requirement for a new coach and I am not saying I don't want a new coach either..

He annoys the hell out me with the fact he thinks his system is better than what the best coaches in the world do. Do I want him back next year. Hell no. Would I be prepared to sacrifice a league title to see him go. HELL NO. Don't get me wrong if we win it and he goes I'll be extremely happy. As i've stated before. I think any half decent coach would have won the league a long time ago with this group of players. If we win it I think in part it will be inspite of Corey. However he will also have played his part in delivering it. A coaches job is to win trophies. A few months back I said I hope he rams my words back down my throat and that still stands. If you win the league you deserve the chance to keep your job. However frustrating you are. I'd happily shake his hand and congratulate him.

It's still possible yes,but it's a very very tough ask with our run in. Your stats thread Kiev proves it,we realistically need to beat Sheffield and Cardiff twice each, yet your stats show our Erhardt record so far has been pretty damn poor.
We shall believe til it's over, yes even me,but it's a real long shot for Panthers.

Picture the since in the squire outside the NIC, Cory is high 5's and shaking hands with the fans after winning the league title, your next well done Cory absolutely brilliant, by the way Cory I hope you don't get a new contract. Let him have his momment. Like I said. Couldn't begrudge him keeping his Job. I have one major gripe. If he were to be here next season and he was playing regular lines thats fine. If we get further into the season and we see the same tripe i'll happily tell him. Surely he can see it though. Started the season with a good streak - pretty recognisable lines(at least pairs of players). Shocking middle part of the season - complete pick & mix lines. Decent run last 10/12 games - fairly regnisable lines. Battered by Belfast(scoreboard at least) - went pair shaped after binning regular lines.
