Apart from needing another import Dman,or Dimmen back quickly, there is nothing much wrong with the players, apart from lazy Lacho and not enough output from the other Brits. The guy who needs to go without question is Neilson. Far too stubborn and arrogant and has been living in cushy cushy land for a couple of years now. Look at last years team, what a collection of total misfit signings lacking in quality they were. Quite how that lot ended up on a Panthers roster I have absolutely no idea and they got what they deserved......nothing. Yet this season, with a far superior team,we are just not cutting it,so that says to me that the problem lies with the coaching. Get rid of him Mr Black ! That's the thing. When you watch them it's definitely not the players that are the issues. I do agree Lacho needs a rocket up the backside though. The responsibility for me lies with whoever made the decision not to cover injuries when all ready short.

Give someone else the captaincy.

I see the biggest problems as constantly changing lines and not covering for injuries. Maybe not covering for injuries caused the lines to be continuously changed. The coach is to blame for this, which is frustrating as he has a proven track record that he is capable of coaching well.
It does look like we need to replace the coaching team at the end of the season. I am just concerned with what we would get, if that happened. I assume GM would do the legwork with Black approving. That doesn't fill me with confidence.

Give someone else the captaincy. Agree that Clarke shouldn't be the captain. There's more at fault with the establishment than this though.

First and foremost, get rid of Moran. Say this every year... and it will never happen!

Even former Panthers staff talk about how poor Moran treated people and only cared about things that benefited himself or the income of Panthers.
He's done a good job getting Panthers to where they are but it's time for some fresh blood, a younger, hungrier, more ambitious and open minded GM.
I'd like Panthers to start employing proper Ice Hockey fitness/conditioning coaches, who can get the guys up to speed but whilst ensuring they don't over do it. I don't feel as if there's enough structure for the players in that area, they have their gym sessions of course but who's there to guide them, Virgin Active staff aren't exactly specialist in the ice hockey area so players can and probably do, push themselves harder than they need to. Look at Schultz the weekend just gone, he was knackered, that was because he ignored Corey's advice to take a day off and instead skated, hard, tiring himself out for the weekends games before they began.

On the subject of fitness and conditioning, what happened to Mark Coles?
Seemed to do a great job in the Grand Slam season but hasn't been seen since. Was he another one to fall out with GM?

Get rid of Moran and throw one hell of a party.
Corey has to go because a) he has screwed up the budget this year, leaving us desperately short or b) he should resign because Moran or Black are not allowing him to recruit a team capable of challenging, and by this I mean not signing 13 imports or being allowed to bring in cover for the long term injuries we've been carrying.

For what it's worth after recent signings by our rivals even the signing of a d man leaves us short of them except for the fact that we have not signed said d man

Sack the board and join a European league. Thing is that isn't the worst idea going. We have the support. We need an owner and a GM that can pull in a proper sponsor and invest enough to give us a chance of success. Thing is we don't have a chance of success in a league we should be the dominant force in at the moment. I can't be the only person who is fed up of hearing about shirt auctions, listening to some rubbish on 'check it out' and the rest whilst teams already ahead of us in the title race are making signings...

Sack the board and join a European league. What European league? France? Germany? Went to Dusseldorf v Munich in October. DEL would be just fine ; leave Mr Black to crack on with the Clan!
