Is the House of Tin still sponsored by them?

Ah yeah, sorry Gary. It'll always be The World Famous, Fabulous NIC to me. Should there be a "super duper"in there somewhere?

Seen a few people on Twitter getting their knickers in a twist over this, does it really make a difference?

It's the NIC.
I didn't call it the Trent FM Arena. I didn't call it the Capital FM Arena. I won't call it the Motorpoint Arena.
It's the NIC.

We might actually get some cars now this year suitable to get a large hockey player inside, instead of cramming them into a dinky car !

It's the NIC. I didn't call it the Trent FM Arena. I didn't call it the Capital FM Arena. I won't call it the Motorpoint Arena. It's the NIC. I never understand the uproar when arenas/grounds get re-named. For example, St James' Park in Newcastle. Nobody apart from people wanting to make a stupid point or official press release type things called it the Sports Direct arena. It was always SJP, and will always be SJP. It is the NIC. Always will be.

It's only really as a concert venue that I can see any real change in terms of the name change as people going to see bands/stand up comedians etc will probably never use the term NIC to describe where they went/are going.

We might actually get some cars now this year suitable to get a large hockey player inside, instead of cramming them into a dinky car ! Are they sponsoring the Panthers too? If not, why would Panthers get any new cars? Whilst you may think the current cars are 'dinky' they're quite suitable for their requirements; namely, to get a hockey player from their local rented accommodation to the arena, and back home afterwards. They're not carrying kit in them (that's what the coach is for) and given that the majority of the players using them will have little (if any) experience driving on the 'wrong' side of the road, and likely as much experience driving a stick (manual), a small city car is perhaps just right for, err, driving in a city. This said, they do have a few larger cars in the fleet which I'm sure would be available to any player too large to fit in the surprisingly roomy interior of the 'dinky' cars.

Looking at Twitter, motorpoint is being laid on the ice, so I guess they are sponsoring panthers as well.
