The fractured collar bone was just an unfortunate incident but signing Kowalski would still be a good signing for any team in our league. We've seen the skill and quality he has, as well as his competitiveness. Yes, it might be a risk signing him but there's always a risk when signing any player, the injuries Kowalski has suffered won't be down to fitness, he is getting on a bit but the injuries are likely caused by him really really trying, we haven't had the best defence over the last two seasons so Kowalski has been left in the cold a few times and had to deal with more shots and chances than he should, and with his competitiveness, something has to give.. Of course injuries can happen to anyone at anytime but give him a solid, reliable defence and he still has a good chance of playing the majority of games over a season to a high standard
Anyway, it'll be interesting to see Jones go to Storm. Great goalie. Storm will be a tough competitor this season.

Storm will be a tough competitor this season. Not sure how you can tell that, they only have two players so far and no coach.

Josh Unice to Capitals seems to be chugging along thanks to Emmerson's tweet:

I'm getting a nasty feeling that we will announce 2 at once. A cheap, average looking player masked by a decent looking player. Hope i'm wrong and we sign 6 good en's...

we had a lot of jack of all trades last year who didnt stand out at anything which is why i think it was so incredibly dull to watch.
i hope we don't see any players back from last seasons team.
6 fresh new faces to the league fitting specific roles which they'll be used to playing, and avoiding the old problem of signing a top centreman and playing him on the wing - if hes a good centreman, then play him at centre!

OK – taking a bit of a punt here, but on the basis that 3 of our latest 4 signings (Lizon; Wiikman & Dimmen) all have the same agent – 37 Hockey, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that some of our new import forwards will come via the same route. So, who do we have on offer in their client list who aren’t apparently contracted for 2015/16 yet? JUDD BLACKWATER - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=13932Centre, with a 1.00 PPG Average in the CHL & 0.86 PPG in the ECHL. Some Euro experience with Olympia Ljubljana – a former teammate of Bryan Schmidt. ANDY BOHMBACH - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=38106Left Wing, with experience in AHL; ECHL DEL2 and Austrian Leagues. 1.11 PPG Average in DEL2 & 1.07 PPG in ECHL DAVID BRINE - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=14084Centre, with extensive AHL ; European & Asian experience. According to Elite Prospects - A hard working forward, Brine is a two-way center. An asset on the penalty kill, he also posesses decent skills on offence. Could be a ready-made replacement for Benny? NICK DINEEN - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=16694Centre, with good European experience with KooKoo; Lillehammer & Sonderjyske. Went to College in the US, so could be a candidate for one of the remaining Loughborough University places? CHRIS FRANCIS - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=31074Centre, with limited AHL, but extensive ECHL experience. Personally, my money would be on Dineen and Bohmbach - any thoughts? So, one of my 'predictions' turned out to be true - nobody more surprised than me! However, it does confirm that 37 Hockey are our preferred Agents, so who is left on their books from my previous list? Just DAVID BRINE by the look of it, although other forwards have been added to their client list: KYLE GREENTREE - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=11408LW with NHL; extensive AHL & DEL experience VINNY SCARSELLA - www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=34036F with primarily ECHL experience - only 5'7" & 179 lb. I would say yes to Brine & Greentree, but not sure at all about Scarsella!

I'm surprised this year just how many teams including us are taking players from the European leagues. Its been a fair while since we've had more than a couple.
