I honestly couldn't care less what Lacho is on. He's a decent Brit and it would be a joke if he was playing for anyone else in the EIHL. What is also a joke is that we announce record season ticket sales and then come out with the frankly ludicrous decision to chose to play short handed. The fact that a lot of fans seem ok with the decision is beyond belief. It sucks. It would be laughable if it was funny but it's a farce and its incredibly annoying and frustrating. I get what you're saying about Lacho but if we're paying him so much that we have to play an import down then it really does matter what he's being paid. Oh well, first shirt sale can't be far away. We could sign 20 imports at our level and still turn a good profit. Lachowicz can't be on that much....

Yep, it's a kick in the teeth for every fan to see a headline of 'record season ticket sales' closely followed by 'we're starting the season an import short'. Not for the first time, things just don't add up. Stick the old Dictaphone in front of CN and ask/tell him to read GM's script about why we're going an import short. That will appease the fans/mugs that have already shelled out hundreds for season tickets.

I don't know the answer to either of those questions but was told by somebody who works for the club we are going a import short because of how much of the budget was taken resigning Lacho. That may be so, but there's a fair few people that work at the club and I would have thought that information about wages would be known by a very select few people at the top. Probably only GM, Corey, the owner and the player. That's a very fair point. Little funny though that we only started saying we are going a import short after we resigned him.

Things never add up at Panthers. As you all know I have been saying it for years, but most people seemed to think I knew nothing or was a constant glass half empty type.
Gradually people are coming round to realise I was right and that all Panthers do is constantly take us for mugs and what you see and hear from them really is just spin, crap, penny pinching and excuses !
Yes,they will occasionally come up with something good.....but only when they HAVE TO !

Ditto. If this is true and Lacho has got a bumper deal after last seasons dross then he has either got the gift of the gab or a bloody good agent. A lot of Panthers fans compared to a lot of other fans in the league are very tolerant. A different mindset to most supporters in any other sport.

Yes the majority are all talk and no action. It seems alot have been very critical over various things this year but i bet my mortgage still brought STs ! From where i look at it. Not much has been different than past years with exception CN corey has waited a lot longer for the right player and compared to last year i think its paying off.

Well Pidge we have certainly got a much better team than last season that's for sure, but Panthers knew they had to do something.
When you look back,it really is quite shocking what a load of crap we had last year....what on earth were Panthers doing !!!

Really hoping Panthers sign Matt Pelech, from looking at free agents he stands out ever time, tough power forward who can score and fight then let's get in a genuine goal scorer and hopefully Corey will see sense and get an out and out fighter, would love it if Packham could convince his pal Kassian over but failing that I wouldn't mind Paxton Leroux, his fight card looks pretty good and had some good tilts with Lizon who looked the real deal.

No hipocrasy here regarding last 2 seasons sub standard offerings & still buying a season ticket.i have held a season ticket/permanent reservation since panthers re formed.however this years season ticket money is safely in my account.

So, let's assume said player is North American yeah? Pretty much everyone accepts that where he's coming from? So, if we're possibly minutes away from announcing it, (as we don't announce till the inks dry). Then he's getting up anywhere between 3am-5am his time to sign a contract and transfer the contract signature to us is he? Feck me, he's keen to come to Nottingham

Lets all pray to the hockey gods that its the playmaker/goal scorer we have been hoping Panthers would sign.

This is earth shattering news, I never imagined something like this was happening, I can't quite believe it - they actually draft these press releases?! With this build up he has to be good.

Could be one of a handful of top point producing players from the ECHL Steffes is the stand out candidate with 44 goals last year
