.... I see we got yet another one Sunday... Can you stats guys let us know how many we have had this Season? We must be averaging nearly 1 a game by now? You think with 2 Bench Coaches.... we would be on this, but it doesn't seem to get any better

These penalties are inexcusable, and you're right we seem to picking up so many of them this season. Quite frustrating.

More frustrating when the opposition get away with it in the same match....I point towards Belfast last Saturday.

do we all fully understand the interpretation of the TMM call. It would be interesting to what people think. It's not just a case of having 6 skaters on the ice.

Whilst it should not be happening as much, I think part of it is down to the injuries on our defence.
With unsettled lines, and rotating players I can see why it is happening more than it should be.

It should technically only be a TMM call if either the player(s) entering or leaving the ice deliberately plays the puck or makes physical contact with an opposing player while the line change is taking place and the player(s) coming on and the player(s) going off are both on the ice. I think? Can't believe we've suffered so many calls on this in one season. Way too many.

Go back a few years and they were very common for us.

Could say that with a lot of ice hockey rules. A lot of fans (me included) haven't a clue, yet constantly berate officials as if they wrote the rules of the game. If one more person shouts for a hand pass made in a defensive zone, I'm not going to be responsible for my actions...

I think? I think it would depend on the distance the exiting player is from the bench when the entering player jumps on, think it's 5ft in the NHL, guess it's similar for us.

We hear a lot f screaming for too many men usually when the opposition makes a slow or sloppy line change, this doesn't necessarily constitute too many men.
We got called on Sunday when the puck was near the bench and a player that had just jumped onto the ice played the puck before his team mate was off. It was an obvious one.

Yes, not sure on the exact distance as I seem to recall it was changed 2-3 seasons ago?

IIHF rule on too many men call states 1.5 meters (5') (Wary about posting this as many say this rule book doesn't exists) Attachments:

Pah, too many men/missed too many men calls, as always the NHL leads the way. they could introduce a 'way too many men on the ice' call for instances like that, 2 mins each per man. or how about one for New Jersey Devils #20 - tootootoo many men.
