Excellent team performance to win in tough circumstances against a very dirty clan. Top marks guys for never giving up. Oh, one more thing, can someone get the mike off Moran.

That was another proper game of hockey, very much like the Cardiff game. We hit their little guys and wound up Fitzgerald which worked a treat.
With the run in we have I cant help but feel we have left it a little too late but we have hit some great form at just the right time.

Well tonight, I believe we saw the league champions. I wish I was as confident! Unfortunately I think we saw the best team in the league and the would be champions which due to scheduling will be completely different teams!

Now that's true but if the Clan are the best the Elite League has to offer based on tonight's showing, then recruitment for all teams next year is going to be tough...

Thought Higgins had a great game and his last goal was awesome, he would have been my MOM.
I also think Braehead would be a good team if they focused on playing instead of trying to goon it up. In this league there is no need to have Fitzgerald, Frank and Salters on the same team. Especially two of them being on D too. My god does Finnerty love to have a moan.

Another great win by the Panthers, tired noticeably in the third due to lack of bodies and Lachowitz picked up an injury, hopefully not too serious. On tonight's evidence the reason the Clan are top is their weaker conference, worked hard but couldn't live with the Panthers in the second. Thought Hicks had a decent game and Braehead were filth, Fitzgerald is just a scumbag. Finally, Gary Moran, all ego, no talent.

Only downside to a great performance was the injury to Lacho. But we've put the title back in our hands now- we've got to play them some more yet but let's win one game at a time. Bring on the Blaze!

What couldve been a brilliant game ruined by poor officiating and the constant delays due to a clan player or Finnerty moaning to Hicks at every break in play. That second period seemed to go on forever. Agree, although it was also ruined by Gary on the mic. He even took over Stef's job at times. I hope Ken was otherwise engaged and will be back next weekend. Good result but was expecting/hoping for a better game. Quite liked Braehead's effort and they've got some good players, but too many penalties. Whether they were fair or not I dunno, some odd ones in there definitely. Title could end up anywhere.

good performance tonight from the whole team, thought kwall played very well and looked really up for the match, how many mins did colby cohen play tonight? great pick for us tho. thoguht higgy and doucet also very good. 2 negatives for the night the lachowicz injury and that pathetic excuse of a gm we have on the mic.

Another superb team display we kept our discipline apart from the 3 Lawrence pens! Where would we be had Doucet been here in September! Cohen makes the game so easy at times read the game excellent. Due to the schedule id fancy Braehead to nick the league but once Wild returns this defence is built for the play offs. In Cohen absence he spent time at Reading in the ECHL .. How hes well above that standard. But grateful to see him back here and he seems to be enjoying his hockey again looking on twitter. Im staggered Fitzgerald and frank lasted 60 mins!

Another excellent team performance, which made the league leaders look rather ordinary. Many excellent games from Panthers players, with my special mentions going to K-Wall, Higgins, Landry (which I say every week), and Cohen, who looked at times like a 17 year old playing in an under 14s game.
Braehead didn't look too great to me, especially as they descended into being an ill-disciplined rabble once they fell behind in the game. Rarely have I seen a team so reminiscent of their coach in approach to the game. Very poor. Salters' performance reminded me why I think we were right not to have him back - anonymous after the first ten minutes apart from bleating to the ref and offered very little all round, like most of the games I saw him play for Panthers last season. If Clan win the league, fair play to them, but it will be the clearest indication possible that the conference system is unbalanced.
As for Panthers, we just have to keep this form going. You never know. Just enjoying seeing the side play with conviction, self-belief, well drilled systems and a little bit of customary swagger.

Steelers have hammered Devils 6-0 away tonight, and Flyers have taken a point off Belfast winning on penalty shots.

With regard to Braeheads way of playing, it reminded me of a quote from a film i once watched. "Attitude reflect leadership" Bonus point if you know the film

Top win that. Great first two periods then we took a foot of the gas in the third. Loving the responsibility that Cohen takes on the puck, real QB on the blue line. Kwall & Doucet had solid games as well although the stand out was clearly Higgins who was unplayable.
Clan were more interested in the rough houses most of the time. I'd missed Finner's antics on the bench, proper clown. Whoever voted Fitzgerald their mom deserves a medal. Sarcasm rules.
They'll still win the league imo, you can see why they roll their conference games as they do have a powerful outfit.
Best chant of the night was 'Can we play you every week'. Very subtle.

On tonight's evidence - Berube (assuming Wild's injury isn't a long one). Super game tonight save the poor Officiating, excessively loud Moran and Fitzgerald - What a plonker he is!

Gutted that I had to miss one.
Excellent result. Doucet and Cohen seem to have given us an extra something. Top work.
GM on the mike? Definitely not gutted to have missed that!

You name me 2 d men better than him and Cohen on the pp in this league?

wild has a dead leg, should be good to go next weekend. You name me 2 d men better than him and Cohen on the pp in this league? True enough. The difference for me though is that at times Wild tends to play like we have an extra man even when we don't, whereas Cohen is much more responsible defensively.
