Reading in the post he's lookibg to achieve more in Europe as he has the infamous "unfinished business" in Europe then he'd look to return to nottingham if still healthy. He's also done a segment on dangerous player bringing the league down ie grimaldi and those who go out looking to injure the opponents with cheap shots like kneeing ect. He also comments on wages so if assume we couldn't coug up what he was looking for to bring bf him back this season

Strange article given that Braehead have the most PIMs in the league.

Strange article given that Braehead have the most PIMs in the league. Probably trying to keep in Mr Blacks good books. I don't blame Robo for not wanting to come straight back, wouldn't blame him if he never came back.. the league does have a decent standard of hockey but there are far too many cheapshotting players. Tanaka, Dowd, Frank, Mychan to name a few, Tanaka and Dowd being the worst offenders, they don't exactly do a Grimaldi and go nuts but they do little things which injure players and go under the raydar of officials because they don't come across as 'dirty' players.

Told ya he got himself chucked from that game in Cardiff because he was being targeted !
Overall though, the article is a bit harsh on the league,if he thinks the EIHL has a reputation for being very physical, how on earth did he ever play in North America ? Good job he never played over here when Voth was around.

Good article perhaps the DOPS will have a good inluence. Deliberately going out to injure a player should be automatically reported to them. Intent is difficult to prove I expect the players know

Having not found a club in the last 3months, maybe he has a higher valuation of himself than the clubs around Europe have. Earning a lower wage and playing is surely better than doing nothing (unless he is earning a living from his paintings)?

I think he'd come back if it wasn't for the targeting he received during various games. He's a quality player and if he wants to stay good enough for the DEL/DEL2 then he needs to stay healthy and i'm guessing he doesn't think the EIHL is safe for him to play in in it's current form.

It could also be argued that if we had a player more in the enforcer mode then our star players would not have to defend themselves or worry about cheap shots. It's a shame he doesn't want to come back but not the end of the world.

Guess it goes down better to blame some nameless practitioners of the dark arts, rather than his wage demands. The other article seems more honest on that front to me.
