Even though it was 13 years and multiple owners ago. Think maybe it's time to let go of that one, especially as most supporters around now won't have a clue about it and will be even less bothered.

I doubt many of the current fan base would have a clue about that article. Yes they spent well in excess of what they could afford ( Darren Brown did his time inside) but i tell you what this wasn't those players fault they came and did a job superb quality. A standard id love to see again. So when people rave up the likes of salters, lepine, Kwall etc I laugh. Shayne Mccosh earnt more that season than what panthers current ROSTER is earning! Let that sink in Agreed Pidge. The veterans of the hockey world are aware of what went off that year but let's not let that distract from what a superb team that was. To play through the injury crisis and not get paid in the process and still come away with a grand slam was a great achievement and something those players should be proud of.
90% of the players who we rave about now wouldn't get near the fourth line of that team.

When you consider Kent Simpson was spare forward i believe. Thats why i can never take anyone serious who raves about current players

Even less were around in 1956 which was 58 years ago. However, if being reminded about past misedemeanours means that "most supporters around now won't have a clue about it and will be even less bothered", maybe your fan base would consider a trade:- Reference to Steelers past 'financial irregularities' etc - No more Reference to 1956 or 1 in 56 (or 58 now) ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) - No more Deal?

From memory, the rumours were that McCosh was on about £40k + bonuses.....That's a very small budget you have this season or a lot of bonuses we paid out that season. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Regards Doom

Don't forget £40k back in 2000/01 is probably nearer £50k now. He certainly is a player fans of today can only dream of watching.....Probably the best offensive defenceman I've seen in my 20 years of watching hockey. Regards Doom

Called it as soon as he became available. Bet we didnt even put in an offer. Congratulations Sheffield, I wish we could buy a league title one day. You did, in 2012/13 Points n' laughs. Another note. I see you're no longer a Panthers fan in this post like you were in your others. Rumbled much?

Maybe this is a sign that hockey is going somewhere in this country and the standard of the EIHL has risen.
Panthers beat a DEL side, Belfast make the next stage in the Continental Cup and Paul Bisonette was looking at coming over here until he got an AHL offer.
O'Connor could undoubtedly earn more over in Russia, but it's nice to see someone put their happiness ahead of money.
Very happy with this signing, because it brings our British contingent up to the same level as our main rivals.
Regards

Im not sure about that. 2 or 3 of your brits are getting over the hill. We have apart from clarke younger brits and then Betteridge, Hook and Cownie in the system and Oakford who looks to be getting close to stevie lee in potential
btw don't use giants as a example they only progressed due to a team pulling out. Else they would have heen dumped out on the sunday losing to a BUNDISLIGA 2 team !

I don't know how to do the pictures but if I did..... Facepalm! To elaborate! It's a quote from your latest signing on the import limit increase! From his now deleted twitter account www.kingdomofthegiants.com/news/article/692/the-weight-of-opinion/

If you recall, Bipolo were only in the CC last year coz another team pulled out.
