We all know that if we had signed an enforcer, Kowalski would not have pulled his groin. Congratulations go to Dan Green, who was called upon in a pressure situation and helped us to a very important victory, looks like the pre-season ice time he received might just have payed dividends. If he thinks we don't neec one when we clearly do. Look how nickerson ran the show last weekend. Cn recruitment has been poor to say the least. If you can't see that. Perhaps watching hockey isn't for you

I too am of the opinion we could do with a sizeable guy to police certain situations, but as I was merely pointing out, having someone like that on the roster, would not have prevented Kowalski from pulling his groin, if that is what he has done. As far as recruitment goes, I wasn't aware I had enlightened you with my thoughts. I can also assure you that watching hockey is for me.

Lawrence MotM For all those calling Lawrence, he must be doing something right - MOM again? - well done to Greener, clean sheet again - hope KWall injury is not too bad Unless I read it wrong, DG conceded a goal at 13.11 in the 3rd period. I wonder which team from the "easier group" we will get in the quarters.

Yeah he let one in.
Have to hope Kowalski's OK and was just pulled as a precaution. Sunk without him.

I enjoyed the Web cast last night I'd say it's the best one there is tbh. The game wasnt too bad either. As for kwall being injured I hope we can bring someone in better than Conway if he's going to be out for a while.

What about Raitums?
Already played for us this season. Presumably we could get him in at very short notice.

Already played for us this season. Presumably we could get him in at very short notice. It was odd with Raitums the way he didn't dress for the 2nd of our CHL road games in Scandinavia (was on the radio as co-commentator). Hadn't heard about any injury. Would be a bit surprised to see him brought back.

Everyone always laughs when I say we should run with 2 import netminders for the whole season.
That's the type of advantage the richest club should be rolling with IMO.

Kowalski should be eligable to become a British Citizen in time for next season anyway so that'll free space for another import, his injury isn't serious this time around and we'll only lose him for a game, maybe two.

I take it you're referring to this? That isn't a definite statement in any shape or form. Colour me cynical but I read that as a PR designed with an eye on ticket sales for the Belfast game.

The only issue there is getting visa's for the following year! If they are returning to the UK, they have to dress for at least 75% of games they are eligible for! I presume other countries will have similar restrictions! If we ran with 2 import goalies, we'd have to dress them both the majority of the time so they would qualify for next year, we'd have to run an import out skater short!

I doubt if Kowalski played 75% of the games last year Wyle E,he was injured for ages and Conway must have played about 25 games ?

Excellent highlights. Actually made what I thought was an average game entertaining!

He has to want to become a British Citizen for that to help, not all do. He may decide to quit hockey altogether, if his injuries keep re-occurring. Ever since the Cruickshank fight he has had his problems with injuries.

This just seems like a pulled groin from playing sport. Don't think it's a re-occurring injury

May not seem like a lot but for a goalie it is imo. Time will tell of course.
