Regardless of any other score, they went into the odyssey and beat The Giants 6-1. That shows what they're capable of. HOPEFULLY we may have Higgins back for this one which would be awesome.

It is 60 years, nearly to the day, that Flyers and Panthers first played each other. So this is our anniversary weekend

no mention of mark lee tho? He was apparently last 'sighted' riding Shergar through town after he'd been out for a spot of lunch with Elvis & Lord Lucan

The club shop is selling t-shirts that say "I was there when Mark Lee played", but they have not passed quality control yet.

So glad to have Higgins back. I'm really hoping that he can inject some imagination into our forward play and add some much needed entertainment. The team so far are so meh. Very little individual skill on show. Over hyped at the recruitment stage and many of them not living up to their billing.

So we have 12 imports playing in this game.
How do people reckon the lines will work?
Will Mosey go back to D with Oakford as 7th D man and Boxill on the 3rd line?
Will Mosey stay up front leaving Oakford as 6th D man and Boxill as a 10th forward?
What line does Higgins go on to?

I reckon we'll need the energy of a 10th forward with players either just coming back from or still carrying injuries. Higgins has been bought in to provide the bullets for Bruuuuuce so will hopefully play on his line. Difficult to say as there isn't really a 'stand out' line at the moment and not much seems to be gelling/clicking so far. Maybe, something like:- Kowalski Green Berube Landry Schmidt Lee Oakford Wild Robinson Lawrence Lachowicz Jacina Graham Higgins Mosey Parent Clarke Boxill

He hasn't got the pace in my eyes. Not a critism of your comment, I just want to know your reasoning.

Fife just lost a tough one in Braehead. No reason to think that we can't come out flying and flatten them in the 1st period.

If Panthers don't get four points this weekend with the Flyers playing three in three and travelling three times too, they want shooting !

We may get the win tonight but we'll get nothing tomorrow. Theres no backbone in the team to go to a tough place like fife and get a win

When was the last time we underestimated anybody? Oh yes, Hull 2 weeks ago Starting to get a few players back from injury now so if the players mindset is right, we'll win this by a couple. Play like we did against Hull though and we're toast.

Plenty of statements like this were issued this time two years ago and what happened.... We won the whole lot!!! I'm not saying this is going to happen again this year but to write us off after just TWO league games is ridiculous. Reading posts like this just makes me think you want them to fail so you slag them off.

I don't mind any player leaving But this squad is poorest I have seen in may few years watching us and the dullest And I don't believe they will change - they are just a bad bunch I don't think corey will turn this round Its almost ok losing to giants and steelers but wait til we start losing to the likes of coventry, fife, cardiff etc This squad would struggle to win the weaker conference let alone this league
