If Werner Is out for a while,I think we should make a call to Rod Sarich,he's in Sheffield with no team. Debut against the Steelers !!! thats a good call, no paperwork required i believe . plays very simular to eric, get him here corey and have him as a extra man when Erics back in the line up

Game sheet doesn't have anything for Kowalski either. Presumably a misconduct on a netty doesn't really make any difference, or does someone have to sit it?
Who scored for us? I had Murray, Salters, Benedict and Loyns (per NPHL). Panthers report says Murray, Lee, Benedict and Lacho. Gamesheet has Murray, Lee, Benedict and Loyns. Anyone confirm?

The club's already working on bringing in cover for Werner.
From the OS. We at Panthers are quiet lucky that we can bring in cover.

Im assuming this was the same referee (Conway?) that many of the clan fans were complaining about? Craig is the ref we were on about and he is worse than Cowan.

What's he scrubbed that out for? Bizarre. I can only assume that the puck hadn't completely crossed the line before the net is pulled off and drags the puck over. Can't see on the camera angle but ref in good position. Hitting the netting in the corner of the pipe work does not always mean the puck has crossed the line. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Eric Werner

And this is what Henley got thrown out for
To put it into context Fulton had just finished a forecheck which Cowan deemed he did with an elbow and was calling that and then in comes Henley.
For the penalty shot the linesman on the other side of the goal signalled goal but Cowan didn't want to be over ruled

Who wrote the OS stats?
The period scores are all over the shop.
The report indicates one thing (correctly) and the period scores another...derrr

I'm not quite sure that is a sucker punch.... no worse than when penner decked latulippe and he didnt get any further punishment, but then again this is the EIHL so who knows. As the flyers are so incensed at losing, im sure it will be refered for the league to look at, especially with Nickerson currently serving a ban handed down by the league.

That's a sucker punch all day long,Sawyer got five games for a sucker punch a while back and the Hull player was looking at him at the time.Henley has hit him square in the face when he was clearly looking away from him.I'd be surprised if he get' s less than 5 games.

Pitton got 3 games for a sucker punch last season so I'd expect the same. As someone points out though, this is the EIHL so it's anyone's guess what will happen.

It doesn't have to be from behind or the blindside to be a sucker punch. Fulton clearly wasn't ready to engage in a fight and was looking at someone else.

"Sucker punch" or not it was a bone head play and the Fife player did his job in agitating him and getting an import thrown out. As an experienced import he has to be better than that. Panthers on the whole have to be better than that.

If the Fife organisation thought that this was a clear-cut sucker punch, would they have been so selective in their editing? They should show the whole incident leading up to it, this reminds me very closely of the Wilson slash on Ferguson last season and the social media campaign against him.

I have no evidence of this and am just putting it out there but has anyone considered that by dislodging the goal Kowalski may have caused the puck to pass inside the left hand post when otherwise it may have hit it or passed wide of it?

The goal seems to slide along the line, rather than outwards and across, I think if anything without the movement it would've gone in without the aid of the post. For me, Cowan has just made a horlicks of that and blown up too early. We've been on the receiving end of some odd ps calls before though (ie Hanson and Galbraith) so a bit of luck doesn't go amiss. Henley looks a sucker punch too, bound to miss a few and at the worst possible time with Werner out.
