For what it's worth, although it's a very long shot now, the league's not over. I recall a few years ago a team losing the title from a similar position to that Belfast are in at the moment. Now, who was that? Oh yes, us. Not just that one.... remember the 1999-2000 season? The Bracknell 'Stealth Winner' Bees? They were nowhere, they didn't have a chance... London, Sheffield and Manchester were the only contenders.... and then Bracknell came out of absolutely nowhere and ended up winning the league (with a 4-point margin, so it wasn't just one game). Realistically, our chances of winning the league are slim, I think.... but far from gone. They've just got to keep plugging away. As another thread points out they did something they've not been able to do for a long time and that's take four points from a weekend AND have all other results work out for them. All they can do is try and take as many points as possible out of their games and let other teams beat each other up (not literally). That way they can at least say they did everything within their power to try and win the league, rather than needing to be reliant on other results (I'm trying to draw a comparison with football teams in relegation or playoff battles but I'm not sure if it's coming across).

I'd like to ask Stef if he had a couple of sherbets before the game tonight. I had a lesson in pronunciation before the game from Messrs Krajicek and Petricko. Apperently it's rov-NYAN-ek ("Is good, is good" - Krajicek). I was referring to your announcement that Mike Ellis wasn't playing (oops, Rees I meant) and a couple of other guffs which had me smirking quietly. I think at one point I could even hear you thinking "Come on man, get a grip".

You know, first game of the season Rees got a penalty and I called him Ellis by mistake, and for some reason I keep doing it. That’s about the third or fourth time. God knows why. and a couple of other guffs which had me smirking quietly Eh? I thought I got the rest right. Pray tell.

Another 'guff' that you did is when we played 'Stingrays' You have on a couple of occasions called them ''Steelers'' when annoucing a Penalty for them. Anyone else notice?

Well a much improved performance thats for sure, which also prevented me from nodding off too lol. That was the best team defensive display i ve seen in yonks. Ryan HAS to remain on d for the duration, he provided the muscle we ve been missing to dig the puck away from the boards. Onto Rasti, ...... well it feels good to have aquired a goalie who actually gives the team a chance to win, granted the opposition will get better even though Bison`s offence dissapointed me. Ratsi was energized, quick , alert and seemed to read the game very well. I hope pagey has a pic of him punching the air at the final hooter, a great moment for him Lets hope we can keep this new found confidence and carry it on, and hit full speed for the play offs.......

The green room was buzzing after the game, the players all come in together to eat which they did early in the season but not so much in recent weeks.
The atmosphere of the team was great to see and it didn`t feel that it was just because they had won,but more of how the team was feeling as a whole.

The hip checks were awesome, a real joy to see such well timed hits. Petricko and Cooke could have avoided them maybe but both were still inch perfect. Wasnt it the same guy, 30something (Sorry mind gone blank). Hip checking is virtually ruled out now due to ZT and clipping rules but when you force a guy into the boards your ok, it really has got to be perfect and both were!

A few people have said this, but I know the difference between Hull and Sheffield (different colour shirts, different size crowds, Sheffield games containing at least a modicum of entertainment). It's the PA system I tell you. Or the marbles in my mouth.
