amazes me how some of you can be so arrogant after winning the league once in 57 years. As you say, 1 in 57 years. Therefore we're entitled to show just a tiny part of the arrogance shown by your fans.

Hurry up with the video upload please! Hello Dave...... Brilliant... absolutely brilliant. Laughed so hard when that came on last night that it literally hurt! ;D And here's the spooky thing... guess what book I was (re-)reading at the weekend? Arthur C Clarke "2001 : A Space Odyssey" - no kidding! SERIOUSLY spooky! ;D

Maybe a poll is needed to see who will be getting the most support in the 2nd semi.
Firstly if I am cheering for either team, it would probly be cos I've had a fair amount to drink.
Secondly I still wouldn't be cheering for the blaze; Belfast is a much more enjoyable place than Coventry to go to & drink in. Also Belfast have earnt their respect as a team, more than Cov have.
Thirdly I would like a nice hard fought game, so overtime would be a bonus; though would want Belfast to pull through; as would like the best two teams over the season to compete in the play offs final.

I think next season we need to look at a number of things: 1. Our Brit pack is getting older and needs a shake up. I was always a massive fan of Rob Dowd after watching his first ever game in Sheffield for the Scimitars....I'd love to see him back in Sheffield. 2. We need at least one top quality import points scorer to compliment Legue (if he comes back) and a top Brit (Dowd?). 3. We need a solid stay at home AHL defenceman. 4. Is it time for Rod Sarich to hang up his skates? 5. A new coach? I think we have the core of a good team, but we need to fill in a number of positions with quality and maybe someone in charge who can get the best out of the players. Regards Doom I think many of Sheffield's problems this season have been that coaches tend to build teams in their own image. Corey tried to build a run-and-gun, offensively minded team for the first couple of seasons he was in Nottingham before getting the balance right. Finnerty has brought in a lot of 'Ryan Finnerty' type players, Tylor Michel, Shawn Limpright, Steve Goertzen for example are all good honest grinders who will get in players faces, but having three of them means you lacked some offensive spark this season. It's telling that Panthers had 6 ppg players this season (Ling, Graham, Fox, Clarke, Francis, Galivan), Steelers only had Jeff Legue. I'd agree you could look to freshen up the Brits but it's tough to attract a real top end British player, it's unlikely Rob Dowd will be back in the EIHL anytime soon, Colin Shields will probably stay in Belfast now, hopefully the likes of Matt Myers and David Clarke will stay in Nottingham, so where do you go? It's hard to know if you need a new coach or not, it's rare that coaches get it right in their first season in charge. It depends how his relationship is with the players he'd like to keep on. Credit to the Sheffield fans last night that made the trip, especially those that stayed to watch the presentation. I'm not sure I would've done the same. Excellent post, I'd still give Finner another year, chopping and changing the coaches short term does not work as we have found out in the past. I'm so glad the management stuck with Corey even when the fans were calling for his head.

We got more points from our games against the Erhardt conference than Braehead did. Does that mean we won that trophy as well? ;-)

We're looking a little shaky of late. Lets hope Tuesday was a wake-up call.

COME ON YOU BLAZE! * oh my need to lie down*
After some of the bitterness coming from over there following our league win, all the way Blaze. No paddies from Henrich and they have a very big chance.

We're looking a little shaky of late. Lets hope Tuesday was a wake-up call. Exactly what I'm thinking, the last couple of years Devils have been amazing in the semi's, play like we did on Tuesday and we're in for a shaky ride.

Personally, I think the tactics on Tuesday were to simply not to let Steelers score 3 more than us - simple as that. We made sure we didn't commit to chasing a goal or two to ensure we kept it tight at the back. At 2-0, we pushed forward to get the 2nd goal back, and then tightened up again. Thats how i saw it. The weekend games, the tactics will be win. I think it will be a very different game-plan being played out come Saturday.

I've changed to "not bothered", the beer will be flowing; hopefully after watching a Panthers win in the first semi final.
So no cheers or chants from me in the 2nd semi, apart from if I see a very good hit or goal. Well or an ironic cheer if a player falls over, or blazes a shot high or wide...
May surprise Blaze, that most Panthers will be favouring them.

Can't 'cheer' for either of these teams. Not sure how people do the whole cheering for someone else thing. If we beat Cardiff then I don't care who's in the final with us as long as it's a hard tough second semi. If we don't beat Cardiff then it would be nice to see them go on and finally win the playoffs but I wouldnt go as far as to cheer for them.

At this point in the season there shouldn't be another team in the league to beat us. We know if we play at 100% then we're better than the three left in the playoffs. However, it's a cup game. Anything could happen...

My team isn't playing in this one so no-one to cheer. I will be watching, and enjoying, this game as a neutral.

I suppose it's just different views on neutral games. Personally regardless of what game or sport I'm watching, ill always want a particular team to win based on something. I want the blaze to win because if we get through, a panthers Blaze final would be brilliant fun!

Win or lose we need to be giving the team a big send off. This is the team that finally delivered the holy grail and they will go down in history. Im sure they will be giving it everything. Truly a team of champions.

I think whilst we may have been shaky, big teams turn up for big games. I think we can take the game by its scruff and we can win.
