When I first saw this post, I was worried it would descend into a farcical, insult ridden trollfest - then I saw it was written by a Panther fan, about Panthers fans.
Well done for speaking up, sadly there are minorities at every team but hopefully being shamed by your own fanbase should be enough of a kick up the rear end for most.

As I said in the game thread... can we all wait to see what information develops before going OTT (either for or against) please? I think we all know by now that initial reports are often - if not always - somewhat lacking in accuracy... Deep breaths...

Unfortunately this appears to be true ... heard it from a couple of our fans who were ashamed at the actions of some of their fellow fans. I believe there was also a lot of bad language at the end from certain fans. I real shame as normally our travelling fans are decent.

Usually no problem, some very dedicated travelling fans there. Shame a minority seem to have tarnished that reputation somewhat - even just allegations will have people asking in future, which would be a shame. Anyways, that's all i'll say on this occasion - i'm off to go and "enjoy" New Orleans and the 49ers giving me some sort of emotional rollercoaster!

Then it's up to the honest good fans to say something when they see it, rather than just berating it after the incident.
Someone as infantile to spit on kids won't have much about them if confronted over their actions at the time. Next time anyone sees this kind of behaviour tell them it's not acceptable

Next time anyone sees this kind of behaviour tell them it's not acceptable TBH someone that is sick enough to do that, you dont know what else they will do if confronted. Saying that if anyone spat at me or my kid they would struggle to spit at anyone fora while after i had done. People like this need to be made an example of and i hope both the Clan and Panthers organisation do what ever they can to find out who this was and make sure they dont attend another game. Thats providing that it was/is true.

IF true they need naming and shaming and then banning. Don't care who they are or what team they support its not acceptable at any club and thats even if they claim to being provoked.

Cant blame the club this is society these days just wait for a tram at Lace Market after a saturday game you see enough to make you embarrassed to be in the same city! Also a creeping macho stupid mentality from another sport becoming more and more prevalent in Ice Hockey sadly

I thought spitting at someone can be classed as assault. Whilst it would normally only carry a warning, you can be charged. As such it will go down on your CRB check, which ultimately could affect things you do/hope to do in the future.
It's a disgusting thing to do, and if this is true, then I hope the offenders are named and banned from not only the ice rink at Braehead, but also the NIC.

Get whoever did it banned for life
If one of our fans spat on kids I am surprised it didnt escalate into a riot tbh

Utterly disgracefull if true, but I wouldn't hold your breath regarding a ban or any form of punishment. The drunken idiot of a Panthers fan who was using foul and abusive language and threatening behaviour in block 15 after the final whistle of last seasons playoff final towards other Panthers fans is still with us. And that is despite Showsec, the police, and all levels of the NIC and Panthers management being aware.

Spitting is the lowest of the low. Anyone who knows who did this should make it known to those in a position to do something about it.

Surely in a modern arena CCTV is everywhere, if the incident did occur and was reported they can find the culprits pretty easly and ban them? over to you Breahead???
If true, our fans are directing their anger at totally the wrong people, idiots

From what is being said on Twitter it seems Braehead may have some 'charming' fans of their own. I was sat in block 15 and when Clarkie took his first penalty, I did notice a Clan fan apparently making a monkey gesture at him. Obviously, it's an across the ice view but that's what it appeared to be.
