Not really about Sharpie - it appears at least this guy can ALMOST skate ;D Looks like a bit of fun for the new year, about time we had a decent hockey movie - And for the bigger children only - a slightly different trailer with a few more swearies in it - you have been warned! uk.ign.com/videos/2011/11/07/goon-red-band-trailer?show=HD

Yeah, I think I would pay to watch that. Let's face it, it's going to be the only time we will see that role in this country for a while...

Is Sharp still being paid to wear a teams unifrom? I would use the term 'playing' but that is stretching things too far!!

Guildford. And i'm pretty sure he was an assist off a Gordie Howe hattrick on his debut... Yeah, and Clarke, Fox and a few other Panthers players are just a fight off a Gordie every week. So near yet so far........ As for the film, looking forward to it. Myself and a load of my hockey loving mates are going to go in hockey jerseys various when it comes out. Perhaps a Cage Forum meet up and take over of the Cineworld at the Cornerhouse would be in order?

Now if only there was somebody who works at Cineworld on here who could try and set up something more private... I've already requested a special staff preview for this(in the new IMAX screen we will have in a few months but we'll see about that), if the numbers are there then I'd almost certainly be able to sort out a midnight/private screening.

That's the point....make sure the seats are gaurenteed so everyone gets in. Maybe an upfront payment.Or reserved seats.

Just an update on this, I've spoken to the people that matter regarding a special screening and because it will be one of the less popular releases it may be possible to organise a screening the day before the release date. The only downside is that it would probably have to be in the morning at around 10am as there's no way Cineworld would alter any other film times so would need to be an empty screen in the morning.
It's also possible that if an advance screening goes ahead then it will be a charity screening. It's easier to convince the distributor to allow us to show a film before release date if we do this. I will recommend The Broad Appeal.
I will give another update when I know more details, obviously as it's the christmas period there's enough going on so it's hard to get things confirmed but I would hope to have something concrete by Thursday(when the film times are produced).

Sounds good to me, i'm in if this goes ahead.
I would suggest a mod should perhaps see about modifying the title so people will look and see this and want to join in.
