Well, as someone who has personally been shot at more than once by Osama bin bags nut jobs while serving my country I can only express satisfaction at his demise.
One of the most stressful times in my life was providing an armed guard aboard the Sir Galahad as we transited the Suez. Bin bag and his mates had let it be know we would be attacked so we were all nervous; 'luckily' we only came under sporadic small arms fire and we returned the favour.
We were worried because at the time Galahad was carrying one third of this country's entire naval ammunition arsenal, and had he actually blown it up the crater would have been more than a mile wide!
As you say though the question is what now? IMO AQ in it present form will cease to exist now it's figure head is gone, bearing in mind most of the top end leadership are already dead. What will happen now is all the 'franchise' groups will try to out-do each other and become the dominant terrorist force in the world. I wouldn't be surprised if now that the central leader is gone they could even start fighting themselves. This is far from over.

I was living in Virginia when 9-11 happened, my ex husband was in the military. The immediate affect on everyone was shocking. As a military family everything changed just like that and it will stick with me forever. I'm glad the numpty is dead but I know it is only a matter of time before revenge is sort. I just hope that the friends I still have in uniform can stay safe.
