Of course, but it's still only a very strong rumour. The fact that on Facebook McMorrow has now replaced his profile pic (of him fighting Penner) with an old pic of his days in Rockford and the fact that he's deleted a load of comments relating to Dundee and the game this weekend might have added some fuel to the bonfire. Also, Dave Simms (allegedly a McMorrow fan) openly crictised Sean's on-ice contribution in last week's edition of Powerplay and I don't think he would have done that unless he knew that he was going out the door. Still only a rumour though at this stage.

We don't want a replacement for a player who is not allowed to check for one who can't

I had a txt from a very good source last night saying he's been released but they said they didn't know when it will be announced.

Stars had a skate with the Stars night tonight McMorrow is not on any of the photos, and on his Facebook page he no longer calls himself Sheriff of Dundee.

Clearly not worth what Dundee were paying him given their form. Not a luxury they need or a gamble that has paid off.
Meh.

Looking at it from a purely business point of view the Steelers could do worse that bring him in. He would certainly do wonders for their PR and they could market him around the area and he may bring more casual supporters back knowing they are guaranteed to see some fights. And it would certainly spice up the big games against us, Belfast, Coventry and Cardiff. As a last throw of the dice for the current owners up there it's surely worth the price of a phone call.

If his hockey skills matched his personality, Dundee would have had some player, but sadly what he did have was not what Stars required at this present time.
