If it is possible to have a moment of your time, and opinion.. My young enterprise company is looking for ideas, and I suggested perhaps printing replica panthers shirts in the style which they do on the NHL store: What do you think of this idea, the main questions being: Would it sell? Has this already been done? What would you pay for it? In my opinion, it costs a ridiculous amount to buy a panthers jersey, and even more to customize it with name and number, therefore one of these shirts would be a cheap alternative to spending over £100 on a customized panthers shirt (when it's done properly at CH Sports). Also, when the player on the back of your shirt leaves, you don't have to spend as much replacing the shirt! Don't worry about naming rights etc, because that can be inquired about after, I'm really just after your thoughts on this concept. Many thanks.

Yes, I surgested the club do it months ago.
They would sell bucket loads, esp around Xmas
You would need permission to use the Panthers logo though. or i would have done it myself.
Get them printed in China and sent over, get some key rings, mugs posters, flags scalves done at the same time. fill a small container.
Maybe just get the logo and a machine to put the numbers on to order. (cover any player movement).
No idea why the club / shop don't do it ??

Everyone would have a couple, esp if they did a few different designs / colours, retro, aged, etc.
I've got a couple of Bruins ones. It the shop at the garden you can buy everything branded Bruins / Celtics.
Was surprised there was no NHL merchndise on sale in Belfast for the challenge game.
When you see people walking round the NIC in T's and hoodies they've made themselves something is clearly being missed.
Don't these people like money?

Yes we would buy as long as they were around the £10 mark. Christmas coming soon ideal gifts, Superb way of promoting the club. Been suggested time & time again but it appears the merchandising is done by the shop NOT the Panthers according to Simon Moore on Wednesday last when I put a different idea of merchandising to him.

I would definitely buy a few if they were priced appropriately be a good way to show your allegiance on non-game days! Never feels right wearing a full jersey unless you are going to a game!

I sent in a range of merchandise to the club in the summer including player t-shirts,hoodies etc but was told they weren't interested as they had already got a deal in place for a "new and exciting range" with another supplier. Incidentally Jambros the pic on your avatar is one of the designs i sent in then somebody copied it and was selling the t-shirts on ebay.

I'd price them at around £25, with a quality T used.
I've been waiting for an age for a new Panthers car freshener and key ring, been sold out for years.

I must take back what I posted earlier in this thread, it appears I have told you a big fib. Went to the shop to put my idea to them this evening to be told that ONLY Gary Moran selects items to sell. The shop can suggest items but the onus is on GM for the final decision. A few years ago there was a guy who used to make items, caps ,badges , tee shirts etc. Some fantastic items. He stopped when he was theatened by the management.

I was at the NFL international series game yesterday at Wembley they were selling team t-shirts for £20 and could not serve people fast enough they sold out of nearly all 32 teams! I'm sure panthers could learn a few lessons about merchandise from these people!

Thank you very much for the feedback, it has been extremely helpful and I shall put the idea strongly forward and start making inquiries into how to get them into the shop or Panthers merchandise desk. Thanks again!

The design: (front) (back) Any changes/suggestions? I went for the logo in the top left rather than a big one in the middle because I thought that it would be a little overwhelming, however if there is more demand for one in the middle, that's what I'll do!! Also I think the players on the back will be: Penner, Lepine, Galbraith and Bellamy on the basis these should be the most popular. Do you agree with these choices? Thanks again.

Thing is, with the small logo in the top left, it starts looking similar to t-shirts in the arena shop and although I quite like it, I would prefer to see something different on offer. I've had a go at doing a larger logo design to see what the idea may look like: Now for me, that would be classed as a replica Panthers shirt and yes I do quite like that idea aswell.

Another idea using the larger logo: Infact, I prefer this to my previous one.

Now that's how I would expect one to look like, going down the route of replica Panthers shirt, and I would defintely buy one. After some thought with the logo on the second one I did, I can't see anyone being able to use the word GMB, other than the Panthers, could be wrong though. Either/or, the logo definately looks much better with GMB Panthers or Panthers than my first attempt with just the larger logo on its own.

The second design was actually done to go on hoodies rather than t-shirts.

So you have written permission to use the Panthers logo?
Guy's you're just giving your designs away here.

I prefer the smaller logo personally, although I'd have it located centrally on the chest (same height though). The number I'd have bigger too, same font as the club uses if possible. Overall I like it though. So you have written permission to use the Panthers logo? Guy's you're just giving your designs away here. Do you think Gary's suddenly gonna pull his finger out and actually put something in the shop worth buying? Can't see it. I'd like to see some vintage styles too, guys like Weber, Adey and Hadden, maybe with an era appropriate logo on the front, perhaps printed to look aged like a Winnipeg Jets tee that I've got. As has been said, the possibilities are endless. Massive market being missed by the club.

Pay another £25 and you would have a brand new replica shirt. £25 is getting towards the cost of designer t-shirts, keep the cost done and sell more. Make a wide range of products at a reasonable price and people would buy more than one.
