Heard from someone that his wife's job has fallen through and he is wanting to return. Not sure how true this is but that is sometimes the problem with signing players too early. If he is coming back to this league of Hockey what a shame that all our places are full. I for one have always thought highly of him as a player and would not like to see him play for another team. Time will tell!

Heard this a few weeks back, he was apparently gutted when he saw that our roster was full. Can't see him playing for another team, but what I imagin will happen is that he finds a job near to home then when someone is under performing here or not settling, Macca will be the first to hear about it!

That is what i thought but i'm not sure he is the sort of person to wait around! But lets hope so and if someone is under performing he would be a good replacement.

Sign him and run a roster of 12 imports. Strength in depth and all that. We did it often enough last year, why wait for it to 'go bad' before doing it, get out there and do it from the off.

If this is true, bring him back at all costs. Our best player last season.

Sell the spare Zamboni for money, and use it to bring Shaun back. Someone will always get injured in a season, so having 1 spare player is useful.

We don't have an assistant manager yet?

We don't have an assistant manager yet? That's because we have a proper bench coach. (No disrespect to people involved in the set up last year)

And he can be used for when Penner is getting the odd match ban

Don't think Macca will be a replacement, best player last season and I'm guessing the highest earner. He wants to be a coach, Could gain some experience as assistant. I heard he has a house in Notts also. Would love to see him back, proven quality. Now were rid of the wage cap, Lets get rid of this stupid import limit.

If Mac is available then it would surely be very tempting to simply make room for him, I'd be very surprised to see him back now though. It's a massive shame as he was brilliant last term imo.
He would be a great acquisition for anyone in the EIHL.

Sean had accomodation in Carlton in a house that is rented to Panthers every year by the same sponsor. Its Coreys old rented house. Shame the rosta is full, wonder if Bruce has room for him.

I don't buy all that 'i'd never play for anyone else' stuff. They are professionals who need a wage.

He was rumoured with Steelers last year.
I'm in agreement with PIM, if players are jobless and are after a wage, they will go to wherever it is being offered to them, regardless of who they are playing for, we've seen it happen loads of times when players have said they will never play for the rival team and still ended up making the move.
Do I think Sean will be back in the EIHL? Probably. If it was me and he is available I would do anything to sign him, even if it meant having an early casualty.

Probably be unfair to say really, especially when it singles a player out, with the comment i made, it allows everyone to be in the frame.

It would be great to get back Mac and have a spare (Nick Toneys style import) but I dont know if that is within the rules this year?
If not a would cut someone in cold blood to bring him back.
I voted for MacDonald as the new signing I was most looking forward to seeing but would drop him in a heartbeat to bring McAslan back.

I was about to put that Pidge.
I don't think we will cut anyone, we're too classy for that. (I like to think)
Think Macca will stay in Canada TBH. Would love to see him here, proven quality, professional and top guy would walk into any team in this league.
