Newham, there is absolutely no need to talk to people like that. Just because someone doesn't share your view it doesn't give you the right to call him sily or say he doesn't know what he is talking about. Everyone is entitled to have an opinion and it doesn't have to be the same as yours. Now play nice or not at all. It's called a debate, not everyone lives in cloud cuckoo land DoUrden. Considering he was stating things that were clearly wrong, it is factually correct that he doesn't know what he is talking about on this subject.

You think your debating, but all your doing is jibing, pritty sad and amusing at the same time. Just because I don't share the opinon as you doesn't mean I don't know what I'm on about, I think your just being small minded. Ever thought about a job in polotics? I may suit you down to the ground.

Well, according to the joke that is the FIFA World Rankings anyway football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,1871471,00.html Steve McClaren's winning start as England manager has resulted in his side rising to fourth place in the latest Fifa rankings.
This equals their previous highest ranking, under Glenn Hoddle in December 1997, after qualifying for the 1998 World Cup courtesy of a sterling performance against Italy. With victories over Greece, Andorra and Macedonia, McClaren's team have overtaken Italy, whose poor run since winning the World Cup sees them slip to fifth.Obviously beating world beaters such as Greece, Andorra and Macedonia helps us.

Think you're being cynical there, Dave. Beating Andorra, Greece amd Macedonia is far better than drawing with Lithuania, losing to France and winning the World Cup!

Robinson G Neville, Rio, Terry SWP, Gerrard, Carrick, Plank, A Cole Rooney Crouch.
Carrick is to play the 'Makalele Enforcer' role with Rooney playing the classic 'Diego #10' role. Props to McLaren for trying something different.

Props to McLaren for trying something different. Im glad to see he is experimenting, trying to maximise the effectiveness of our excellent midfield seems like a good tactic to me. Suprised to see Downing left out, i suppose this could be due to him just coming back from injury + his poor performance (watched by mcclaren) on saturday. Although tbh, i would choose Ashley Cole over Downing every day of the week! Id quite like to see Gary Neville switched for a centre back, maybe Woodgate? Hopefully Lampard will show what he can do!

if it wasn't for Robinson we'd have been three or four goals down. Just a freak accident with Gary Neville.

He was also at fault for the first goal when he punched the ball clear instead of catching it. If James had done what Robbo did he'd have been lynched.

What exactly do people think Robinson should have done? Predict that it was going to take a freak bounce over his foot? Don't be ridiculous, it was highly unfortunate and blame should only be aimed at the groundsman for giving us a cowfield to play on.

or goalies for digging holes before kicking dead balls..... can a professional footballer not kick the ball cleanly enough without digging a hole??? unless you bring the groundsman on every time a goal kick is taken :/

It wasn't the groundsman as the divot came from the Croatian keeper's goalkick mark. It'd also be nice if he learned to catch the ball rather than punch it and keep their attack going. The sad state of affairs is that he's the best of bad bunch of English keepers. Scotland and Ireland have better keepers than we do. I do hope Woodgate can get himself 100% fit and force his way into the team. Bit of luck Lennon will do the same.
