hopefully you can shed some light on this.
At the end of a PP the attacking goalie always bangs his stick to let his team mates know that the PP is about to end.
But
does anything happen if the goalie smashes his stick?
I'm thinking not - but its one of those things that i always wonder.
Also for all you long term fans do you know of any scenarios where its happened and then an opposing team have gone down to score?

yeah goalies have smashed there stick doing it before, but a netminder is allowed to play on using his broken stick unlike the outskaters

When a net-minder breaks or loses a stick, they often end up borrowing one from an out skater until play stops.
