And we think they're all obese and completely obsessed with their own country whilst being ignorant about the rest of the world. Who cares? It's just a generalisation to make the story easier to tell. No harm. No foul. ...or we could be thinking all Canadians are Americans really I guess you're right.

... and it isn't helped by George Parros' comments in this TSN article: www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=219580&hubname=to the effect that: "It was a pretty good scrap, and the crowd was waiting for it," Parros said. "They're a hooligan crowd here. They like a good fight."
Well too be fair, there are people that have that attitude, certainly on this site!!
...yet on the TSN message board they were saying "they never even did a standing ovation for the fight"

They seem to think we're a nation acting like extras from Football Factory or Green Street all the time!

THis article wound me up! www.thestar.com/article/262187In a country all too familiar with soccer hooligans, the fight on the ice between the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings yesterday proved the main attraction.

The players seemed to enjoy themselves www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=219580&hubname=Nice to see them being so respectful too. Unlike our footballers (can't remember who they were) that didn't want to visit the great wall of china whilst on tour there because "all walls look the same"

yeah they play the anthems of where the two teams are based in the NHL That's what I thought! So if this game was played at the Staples centre, they wouldn't have 'Oh Canada' played!

Tuning in to the Ducks/Kings on NASN. Apart from the cringeworthy commentary from Jim Hewson, who clearly knows nothing about the UK or UK hockey, I am literally splitting my sides that all across Canada they are witnessing the fact that someone can't find the light switch and so far the game has been delayed by at least 15 minutes. They are some things you can always trust good ol' Blighty for! I've got to the bit you were on about now!!!

What was Hughson on about? Sure I wasn't paying too much attention but i'm sure I heard him saying they are 19 teams in the first division, and saying a Belfast jersey was a basingstoke one!

I've played the demo. Wasn't impressed first time. Second time, i thoght it was a lot smoother. You tend to take the puck facing in the right direction more. I've pre-ordered it from PLAY. I'll be up for a 360 game. Add mad ken stalin

It is petty. Why, with respect to the NHL, are they clamping down on one of the minority sports in the UK? They aren't bothered at football, or rugby. It's a big day out for some people, and they'd have some memories to cherish. DP does a stirling job, but it's more satisfying if you have your own, personal touches to the evening.

Anyone actually know the answer to the original question? It's somewhere between "Nightmare" and "Zombie Nation".

Yes they did use to have a little ditty about the panther. In the 1st season in the new barn they had the little story and then we got a blast of Welcom to the Jungle by Guns'n'Roses. When the leafs come out, they have the opening bit to "Enter Sandman" played on a loop. It sounds pretty cool. Welcome to the jungle would be a great choice.
