On Sunday Brown said he’d sign with no hesitation if management put a contract in front of him, I reckon he’ll stay another season if he is offered the captaincy. He also said he’s begging Mokshantsev to stay.

Once again we take a silly penalty and fall asleep in the last minute, back to being down by 3 goals. 5-4, 9-6 on aggregate...

Does smell of lazy recruitment but got to admit the former Beast players who we see all seem to be decent players imo.
Hopefully in for this weekend, looks like he could do a job with his PPG rate in the east coast and the A.

Great result and once again Galbraith proving himself. I like Garnett and he’s a good keeper but I’m really starting to feel that Galbraith deserves the No.1 spot for good until his form drops a little etc., he’s so much more consistent than Garnett.

Sauve and Derlago are playing. Haven’t seen shalla though Maybe limiting his ice time? He mentioned back spasms on Saturday night when Greener interviewed him in Encore after the game.

Garnett and Gospel the two dressed goalies tonight, personally would’ve gone with Galbraith but Garnett can still win us games so it’s a good headache to have. I think we’ll take the two points but only just as they’ll want a reaction from their non-scoring weekend and depending how short they are tonight.

Unbelievable effort from the boys and it’s been a great adventure! We matched them and pressured them in their own zone for some amount of time and that was impressive enough for me! However, the lack of class from the Lions on ice ruined the game for me. They were good enough to beat us fair and square but they still started faking injuries and influencing the officiating which ruined the game for me, didn’t enjoy that 3rd period at all as it killed the game imo.
Still, can’t take anything away from the boys, it’s been an achievement in itself. Now to focus on what really matters, the league!!!

Tuesday is the best night for the chant, at least he will hear it then. I did think it would be quite different to actually have either Corey or the whole team as man of the match on Tuesday night, after some of the bizarre sponsors calls this season it would be a fitting tribute to the whole team for actually getting this far in the competition and good show of appreciation. As for tonight it really depends on how tired our players are, the travelling and amount of games is starting to show especially in the 3rd periods. Hopefully a sneaky win. I agree. Save the chant for when he’s hear to witness and hear it, could also pump him and the team up that little extra bit.

Looked like a lack of motivation to face a lower end team, apart from the 5 minutes in the 3rd I thought we seemed to lack that passion and effort we see against the bigger teams. However, the 2 points are all that matters and on to the big game tomorrow!

Overplaying it in our own zone way too often, gifted them 3 goals off silly turnovers and letting them get in front of our too easily hanging Gospel out to dry. It's annoying when we look so good going forwards!!
Mokshantsev's goal was filthy, real highlight reel goal!

Could see the first period was spent adapting back to EIHL style hockey but we still dominated imo, got unlucky on a couple of bounces around their net but still looked solid and confident.
Second period we settled and turned it up a couple gears (still wasn't our top gear) and had a flurry of nice goals, especially that shortie from Billingsley!
Third was clearly spent coasting and it nearly cost us but luckily sound goaltending and calm heads got us to the end and the two points, that's all that matters.
Overall thought most of the team played a solid game, Clarke was the worst player tonight imo turned it over quite a few times and seem to fumble the puck when receiving absolutely fine passes set for his tape. Not much to complain about apart from the poor PP performance but absolutely loving this team, they've got me buzzing for the rest of the season already!
On to tomorrow which will be a real test even with Sheffield short a couple players, hopefully two points to get our CC assault going and gain some more confidence adapting back to EIHL hockey.

Some correct calls but also some dubious calls. Mountfield getting away with a couple of cheeky hooks/trips and a too many men call, no surprise from a home ref!

Mountfield are supposedly resting their top line, if true I hope we take advantage.

Sounds like we are getting a spare, hoping it's a centre and would be great if it was Wacey Rabbit. If it is another 'stud' Wacey Rabbit or Kyle Wilson will do for me if it's another forward. Obviously Lepine would be the choice for D.
