Indeed. Didn't notice him. Which for a D man is invaluable. I swear if Fick keeps playing those bonkers, low percentage passes from behind the goal line into the slot when he's trying to clear the zone, I'll go mad. Surely it can't just be me that's noticing that? One of the reasons I don’t think we should have him back It’s a poor play

Having worked directly with the UKBA I'm loathe to put too much blame on the panthers org here - could be any number of things, especially given the current climate with Brexit adjustments. Like any big bureaucracy the Borders Agency aren't known for their dynamism and nuance... As you say it could be anything. But if it was something Bulmer had done wrong then why indicate they may want him back next season. It suggests to me it’s a Panthers cockerel up. As you say, could be anything

I wouldnt like to make that accusation but that could be a reason for a visa being revoked. But..but..but iggy thinks that's Panthers fault.. Just waiting for him to mention his fave coach. Must be his fault

Iggy doesn't remember thoughs Oh I do remember a couple,I also remember a lot of poor ones. When he could actually be bothered to sign a replacement that is ! Thanks for turning another thread into a bashing panthers and CN. We sign a better than expected replacement, why can’t you just say well done?

Man this is a very very good pick up at this time of year. Very impressive work from Doucet. Well done Panthers. Yep looks a good solid signing that for mid season. Makes you wonder what Neilson was poncing around at for all those years ! Classic Iginla post

Yes Ridiculous. How can a team still in the running for the league carrry 5 wage thieves. Fick takes a lot of stupid penalties but far from a bad player. Malmquist has looked good since being moved to the top line and Lepine has been miles better this year. Looks like he’s had the shackles taken off and being allowed to play physical. I don’t think Lacho is even doing that bad. Not putting up many points but is putting in the graft and contributing more than did a couple of seasons back. It’s just Rheault that simply doesn’t belong here Fick takes stupid penalties and I don’t think he’s that good a player Lepine is an average D man and could be replaced for me Malmquist is too light weight for me, pushed off the puck too many times and I don’t think he’s that good at centre. Just my opinion 👍🏻

Out worked and out played
We look tired, not sure why we didn’t play Kelsall and Hazeldine more. Carr looked knackered and Whistle should have played

Unfortunately we have more than one of those! But, yes #88 is a complete and utter waste of space! Who else would you put in that category? 2, 7, 17, 28

And there we go, Pelech 5+Game Checking to the head, Sheffield score on the resulting powerplay to make it 2-1😂 According to the Belfast media guy there’s absolutely no way it was a check to the neck/head. We shall see in time if he’s right. Never a check to the head, shocking call

And those that were saying 4th Pidge look to be about spot on as that was based on the seasons starting roster. Take away Talbot,Hanson and Horvat and i would guess Panthers would be 4th,5th or maybe even 6th now. They certainly wouldn’t be 3rd. I hate posts like this. Because it’s a completely moot point. The person who signed the original team recognised the faults and rectified them and were still crucifying them for that? Position doesn’t really matter in this context. If we finish 4th this season but we’re 4 points off and we’re still playing for a championship, surely that’s better than being 22 points off, finishing third and having nothing to play for since December like last season? We identified players needed to go and got players in who had more of an affect. Not something we’ve been great at historically. We are still in the hunt, fair play to Doucet and Wallace. Way better than Chernomaz last season and I think we are building a good foundation.

So... you're "not quite sure", and yet on that basis you'd ditch Doucet? Not on clear information, but just uncertainty - guilty until proven innocent? That's ridiculous... The plain and simple fact is... no, us fans don't know what Gui Doucet does. Nor are we likely to unless the club decide to fling open the doors and reveal the inner workings of the organisation. Maybe they should, maybe they shouldn't... on that one, I'm "not quite sure" But without clear and confirmed information, it would be insanity to make sweeping changes. Wallace is the 'front man' of the on-ice management... doesn't mean to say that he's doing all of the work. Maybe, as it is on the ice, it's a team effort - Wallace & Doucet both. Right now, although things are far from perfect, we appear to be on an upward swing. Perhaps we shouldn't risk scuppering that by making random changes, eh? Quite frankly, I'd say that the team of Doucet & Wallace need to be given at least this season & next to prove themselves before we even think about calling for heads on the block. Or we could end up with another "let's-make-changes-and-bring-in-fresh-blood" situation that doesn't quite work out and we're back at square one with another season wasted *cough* Chernomaz *cough*. No thanks... Take out the word “quite” then Shaggy......I’m not sure what Doucet brings to the party. But then I would have thought most people would know perfectly well from the turn of phrase I used as to exactly what I meant. I guess it’s just your usual extremely pedantic way of splitting hairs to the enth degree that meant you picked fault. But seeing as the only thing we really seem to have seen or heard concerning recruitment has centred around Wallace and/or his Notre Dame connections it rather suggests he’s been the central figure not Doucet. Doucet and Wallace seem to be working well together, lets keep it like that. None of us really know what Doucet does, or how much he might earn. So far, we've released 3 players and replaced them with 3 better ones. Our D is the best its been in a while and Carr isnt bad. Herr is the best player i've seen in a long time. Doucet has played his part in that and cause of that i'd keep him. I doubt we will keep Herr but you never know - lets just enjoy things as they are at the moment

Lacho and Malmquist- have no idea what they bring to the team. Horvat needs to be on a different line
We should have won that

Maybe yes....but it’s just so easy. You’re just naffed cos you hate me being right again. 🤣 Just another thread where you turn it into your hatred of panthers. It’s a bit boring Iginla. Genuinely can’t remember the last time you said something positive. Maybe that’s what some on here are bored of.

Gonna be a shame when he moves on at the end of the season.. theres not a cat in hells chance Panthers have the financial package to retain him! They could pay him £3k a week if they wanted Pidge and they wouldn’t miss it in the grand scheme of things. Or someone in the AHL could pay him $500,000 a year Iginla. He’s way too good for this league.

Quist expressed an interest in returning home, Panthers helped him on his way. Has been in the pipeline for weeks, hence the Horvat announcement & subsequent arrival so quickly. Very good work from Doucet imo. Not sure I’ve known us make 3 roster changes pre Christmas before?

He’s not exactly pulling any trees up is he ? 17 points in 20 games, which is fourth on the team. For reference Darcy Murphy is 22 in 20 and Hammond is 30 in 20. Not pulling up trees, but looks on the surface very respectable. First season in the DEL2 and seems ok to me - would love him back here on this team
