Cardiff 3 times in 4 games then. Good seats available? 7000-odd at the mo. Get your wallet ready. The other two games are in Cardiff, so make your own jokes.

Cardiff 3 times in 4 games then. I thought this meant I could have a nice mini break in Cardiff for my birthday and take in 2 games, but no, we've squeezed in a home game against Guildford between the 2 away games. Annoying.

Anyone see the attendance figures for the Manchester game? What was it? The thing that I don't get is that these games must be making money because this has been going on for a while and something tells me that if owners were losing money constantly, this competition/format would not be happening. The only thing I can think of is if they attracting new fans, but that is risky

The only thing I can think of is if they attracting new fans, but that is risky I could very well be wrong but well under 500 home tickets sold up to the day before United were playing at home and there was a free game on FreeSports. I don't think Storm reduced prices for the game either, and if they did it was minimal discount. However, their attendances have dropped I think and their quality of team has too. I'd like to see them remain in the league but at this point I wouldn't be surprised if Finnerty and Co. sold up or the club drops into the NIHL.

I think the EIHL have done ENORMOUS damage to the league with this ridiculous Mickey Mouse cup format. Buy a season ticket then have to pay for the first load of games anyway. It's such a stupid mistake for any business to make I can't see that it was done by accident. I know that a lot of the teams make up pink fluffy unicorn attendance figures anyway but you only have to be there and look around to see that numbers are falling through the floor. Meaningless games hashed out to keep teams threatening to leave happy (until now that is) and it's horribly backfired.

A midweek game in Jan, Christmas has gone but the credit card bills will be arriving. An ideal PR opportunity to give the ST holders a free or cheap game (£5) and others a cheap game ( £5 - £10) If they are going for a quid or two of the regular price for ST holders then how many will wait to see what the outcome is in the first leg before deciding whether to go to the 2nd? Because if we are several goals behind then the attendance could be dire.

Yet I'd probably miss the offer anyway. The format I have given up worrying about. Used to email interest/ ideas but the sport doesn't want your interest just your money. They want new fans over existing loyal and it could be the beginning of the end. No tradition at all.

Ticket prices have been reduced for this one:- <LINK>I presume that it means to say "£10 for adults and £5 for concessions"
