there is a fight in the last minute of the cardiff / newcastle game..... doesn't that mean a suspension?

last season cov beat a team us i think with 2 goals in the last 40 seconds, so yes there is a need to pull the keeper, 2-0 3-0 no difference really We couldn't score for toffee tonight, we had plenty of shots, but nothing coming out of them, so in 59mins we couldn't score, but we could have made it 2-2, that's getting 2 goals, in the final minute with the extra player, some people really do have high hopes, i'm happy to be proved wrong though, but with tonights game, i will still stand on that it was a pointless thing to do, did we score by doing it? No we didn't. Not pointless at all. Your right, the chances of scoring (extra man or no extra man) weren't good but we still had more chance of scoring if we pulled the goalie than if we didn't. As it happens we didn't and we let in a goal, so what? There is absolutely no impact of conceeding a third in the empty net so why not pull the goalie?!

No we didn't. But we might have got a goal, it increases the chance (slightly). We didn't, and paid the price, but does it matter that the score says 3-0 instead of 2-0? No. They've got to try, even if it's very unlikely. I'm happy for them trying, but try more all game rather than towards the end when time is running out and they realise that it matters. Everyone will have their own opinion on different matters and mine is only pull the goalie if necessary, usually the goalie is pulled if theres 1 goal in it, which I can see the point of, because at least there's more chance of getting something out of the game, even if it goes against.

Well trying during game is not what we're discussing, thats a different debate altogether. I've been watching Panthers for 20 years and as long as I can remember the goalie has been pulled when we are 1 or 2 goals (and on very rare occasions, 3 goals!) down so I don't really understand your comment about usually pulling the goalie when we are 1 down. Im sure you dont disagree that pulling the goalie increases our chances of scoring a goal? Those increased chances come without condition and without any negative effect if it goes wrong so why not do it!?

Because you agree with that the chances weren't good, but with an extra man & no goalie we would have been given a better chance? If we had a dismal time all game on goal, lady luck wouldn't have changed her mind in the final minute and that was proven. And i'm not saying it made an impact, i'm saying I couldn't see the point in pulling the goalie in the first place, but each to their own.
