Glad Ferrera is back, think he had some excellent games towards the end of last year when back playing as a forward. With him and Matty both being full time Im sure their games will come on leaps and bounds. Not too sure about him playing on D as the article says, maybe in emergencies but Id rather Bergin drop in there if thats the case. Dont know anything about Mark Hartley but lets hope we dont need him too much and he can have a few minutes at the end of some games when we are 3 or 4 up.

At least this should put an end to the 'Backup is guaranteed x number of games' scenario. No disrespect to 'House', he always looked better when brought into a game, than as a starter.

James has come on well as a defensive forward in recent seasons and will do a good job for Panthers. Trying to convert him to defence last season was one of Corey's pieces of inspiration that didn't work. Perhaps he will be able to improve his defensive game with the chance to train full time - I hope so as that would make him a very useful utility player. Until that's the case though, I certainly hope he's not pushed back on defence as it did neither him nor the team any good last season.

He'll be used on D when both Corey and Dom Love are serving 5 min fighting majors...

Corey won't be serving 5 min fighting majors. He'll be serving 10 mins misconducts for being an idiot! Get it right!

Difference is that it took about a month 1/2 for Ndur to significantly reduce his stupid penalties, so he did learn. Unfort when he played for us again in feb or whenever, he was back to form with stupid penalties. Point is, Ndur did learn.
Corey, however, didn't seem to learn. He mainly suffered from 2 minute minors, but I remember quite a lot of people moaning that a significant about of Corey's penalties were unnecessary. I think everyone remembers Corey's 10 minutes for sarcastically applauding the ref when already sat in the penalty box. I think that wins the award for most stupid penalty I've ever seen.

Shmyr's ten minute for pretending to dive after he was penalised for a trip on Dan Tessier was pretty daft, as was throwing his helmet off the bench and earning a three game ban and high-fiving the Sheffield was a bit silly. Entertaining yes but silly. My favourite has to be when we played the Phoenix last season. We had just started a 5 on 4 powerplay when Luke Fulghum stole the puck away and did brilliantly to hold onto it for about 15 seconds under pressure from the forecheckers. Having made himself some room to clear he promptly fired the puck over the boards and out of play, getting himself a Delay of Game penalty and giving us a 5 on 3.

I believe we won both the games Shmyr was thrown out of, that is the difference. he intimidated the hell out of the Steelers especially in the cup final and scored 2 including the winning goal...he sure was rubbish.

We won that by a decent amount, did we not?
