the manfreds were excellent, with paul jones and their guests alan price and zoot money, the merseybeats were good, Dave berry so, so, didn't stay for the mod bit

Was Manfred himself there (assuming he's even still alive) or was Alan Price standing in (and, if he was present, does he still wear that cool underbeard)?

he was not present , it was mainly paul jones hence the name change to just manfreds i think, they had a keyboard player for the first set and then they added alan price one side of the stage and zoot money on the other and they were still credible yesterday!
Didn't realise how good paul jones was on the mouth organ as well!
