Phoned the shop this morning, still no sign of the shirt consignment. Thought GM promised this for Tuesday?
If they are not in this afternoon, so that I can take mine to France, I'm afraid they will have lost a customer.

I was led believe that they would be in yesterday, but having spoken to Lucy previous and she was under the impression that they were not to arrive until today, i decided that if they were not in yesterday not to panic as they would arrive today.
Im calling the shop at half hour intervals at the min, and they seem very laps about it all. They are not in yet, and they have no idea if they will be in today at all. I asked who would know more, they said the panthers office, i called the panthers office and they said the shop.... its a complete mess. I told the shop that there are litrally hundreds of fans off to france, the majority of whom would like to be going in their nice new tops, the only responce i got was "oh, erm, well theres nothing we can do im affraid, we dont know when they will be in."
Now i dont know if this is just me, but the correct thing to have done, would have been take my number, inform me that they would give the suplier a call and then give me a call back to let me know the outcome! Is that old fashioned customer service thats now an outdated practice? Its becoming a bit of a joke, and i know we are all in the same boat as everyone else that trusted CH sports to do the shirts.... but i would put a tenner on the team using them again next year!
I just want a shirt!

Much as I hate to benefit from the misfortune of others ... it sounds like this weekend is going to be a good time for me to go shopping for my first shirt

Me too Keefe- Thats all Iwant. Customer services has gone out of the window. Must be frustrating for the peeps in the shop though to be promised a delivery date and then not to have things arrive. The Panther office order these things, the shop only sell them. I personally think that the Panthers office should push more for delivery of these shirts.

wouldn't it be easier to design the shirts end of playoffs and have them ready for september? instead of this rubbish?

We should boycott the new shirts when (if) they arrive so that the Panthers organisation gets the message about getting them in earlier. It's a disgrace that they are not ready for fans to take to France

the only responce i got was "oh, erm, well theres nothing we can do im affraid, we dont know when they will be in." There's not really much else they can say - the situation is outside their control. There is nothing they can do about it no matter how frustrating it might be for us. Replica hockey shirts for British teams is a small market, the economics of which must be marginal. That I suspect is why these problems crop up season after season. You and many others! But patience really is a virtue you know - hard learnt but worth the effort in my experience. Mind, the only shirt I'm likely to buy this year will be of the Lions variety I reckon - though a team jacket would be more use

The designs can't be finished until all the sponsors with shirt space are signed. I imagine very few people posting on here know when the last sponsorship deal was signed. I certainly don't. I know it's frustrating having to wait for shirts, but there's a limit to how much the club can do about it without having to put the shirt prices up. We'll just have to be patient. It's only a shirt!

It's only a shirt! I understand but when jerseys are changed EVERY year and the season is half over by the time things are sorted out, its kinda frustrating. I hear that Belfast have had supply problems too with CH Sports and I think maybe that the finger could be pointed at them just as much as the Arena shop/Panthers. Possibly Panthers should look into changing manufacturers for next season.

when the Vipers visit the NEC check out the quality (not the design) of the fans shirts they are top notch and not the printed rubbish you have the option of having name and number sown on or printed (cheaper) and they were available at the start of the season. the company the Vipers use (and now the Capitals) is called Surface Ink, they are based near Newcastle. quality and satisfaction are guaranteed maybe you should put some pressure on the club to change suppliers next season! no i don't work for them ;D

I've lost the order book over the summer. Are you coming to the next Lions' home game?? when the Vipers visit the NEC check out the quality (not the design) of the fans shirts they are top notch and not the printed rubbish you have the option of having name and number sown on or printed (cheaper) and they were available at the start of the season. the company the Vipers use (and now the Capitals) is called Surface Ink, they are based near Newcastle. quality and satisfaction are guaranteed maybe you should put some pressure on the club to change suppliers next season! no i don't work for them ;D It's true - I'm looking at a shirt done by them for Chelmsford's charity game last year. Top notch shirts, embroidery is fantastic and these were cheap too!!!
