Handshakes have been exchanged on a deal that will bring the show back to Europe both this year and next. 6 teams this year and potentialy 8 teams next. More teams, more games, longer stay. I think we could see the NHL in Europe over a couple of weeks a year from this year on and I would be VERY suprised if the O2 isn't on the schedule. Great news. Me and Mrs Nem will be going for the entire weekend next time it is in Londinium.

TBH mate it wasn't too bad last time. The tickets were reasonable so I remember and we just stayed in a Premier Inn further out but on the DLR so only paid 40 quid for that.
Cracking weekend.

Just hope they bring across better sides than the Kings, Lightning and Panthers.

i went to london last year. It cost me £25 for a ticket a week before the game, three rows back from the goal. Great seats, view etc. Dont know what your complaining about. Prague however did cost a bomb but was well worth it. Just depends what teams they have playing this time. Lots of rumours of Florida, Chicago and other teams that dont interest me being chucked around.
Heres hoping the bruins come over!!!

No make that Leafs v Sens. We would have a better chance of beating them than Montreal

London game was great! Although I was about 2 rows from the back, you could still see everything alright. Plus getting to see Rob Blake in action was great. And a Stanly Cup winning team lose to the King

You're right, the actual NHL ticket was actually decent price when it was at O2. Can't remember what I paid, but it was very good price considering me and my mates were only 5 rows from the ice. It was London that cost a lot. It doesn't matter however much it costs though, I would definitely make it.
Fingers crossed for Canadiens vs Bruins. Now I'd love to see that.

I hope it comes back to the O2 or even the MEN or even both!!!
The event was awesome, and the Slovak fans going mad every 2 min made it even more fun to watch! Great to see such a big arena packed out for a hockey game in this country! I can see them wanting it back in London as the games this season didnt sell out (as far as I am aware). 6 teams means 3 venues probably, so maybe Germany, London and A N Other?
Only downside to the last Premier in London was, I didnt think the standard of the game was all that great. The event was fantastic, but the actual ice hockey on display didnt turn me on as much as I thought it would, so next time around I would hope for a)2 better teams.... Red Wings please, and b)a better display of hockey. Everything else keep the same!

Further rumours today in light of the news yesterday and it look likely a return to London is on the cards. By bringing more teams over and staying longer they are looking to do as many venues as possible.
It could be a 2 or 3 week stay playing each weekend and possibly a game in the week as well in 4 or 5 countries.

Was in Europe for the NHL game this year, the teams did play a number of 'warm up' games while in Europe, whats the possibility of a 'ALL STAR' team playing an NHL team? The Prague game was amazing to be at, even 3 rows from the back (Hi to the other Panthers fans in thier shirts - as was I )

If the Flames aren't one of them then I'm not interested.
Not travelling all the way down there for a game which will mean nothing to me...rather save my money for the playoffs, even if the Panthers aren't involved lol.

Just various blogs, forums and stuff mate. Following links from there to other links and so on. Most of it is press speculation but some publication over there don't print stuff they aren't sure is happening. I am on the official NHL press mailer having signed up at the O2, but there has been no plans announced yet, just a quick message saying the deal was iminent as has been reported in the press over there.
