I have read the comments on our two wins in Edinburgh by some people, who seem to think we were lucky. Well if playing your guts out until the final hooter goes is lucky some of you need a head transplant. We have wanted a team that never gives up, tries like hell every shift even when things are not going too well, now we've got one their lucky. Lets give the coaches and players credit. If this was last years team we would have lost four games by now, is that what some of you want(I sure as hell don't), if it is go somewhere else. I thought the players were magnificent over the weekend against a very good side where lots of teams will come unstuck. So come on lets give praise to OUR team, or is knocking everything a Panthers thing.

i didnt see the games in edinburgh so i cant really say wether we was lucky, deserved to lose/win, played rubbish or whatever, but i dont wana complain that we're scoring in the last few minutes, i think its great, shows we aint giving up whatever the score is, although i dont think i can cope week in week out and would like a cushion going into the final third, it dont half make for some dam interesting hockey and games

We had bus legs for the 1st period of game one on the saturday but the guys worked tirelessly & scraped a win in OT.
in the sunday game we seemed in control then a couple of quick goals bt Edinburgh put them level with about a minute & half pf the game left. The boys dug deep 7 got the winner with seconds of the game remaining, cant remember how many we were going wild in the stands.
Dont under estimate the capitals they are gonna win a few more this season than last & with this ZT crap the best team wont always win thats for sure..
Poor old Edinburgh got 2 mins for Captians bad attitude LOL

There is no such thing as lucky in sport If the players play there butts off and put the effort in they will get the results like we did this weekend. i didn't see the games but i don't need to, to be able to make a judgment on this. The only way a team gets a lucky goal as many call it is from shooting on the net. If they don't shoot they cant score and if they shoot they intend to score so any goal is deserved and non are lucky how i see it I agree 100% with dirtyden the team worked dam hard to get the 4 points and nothing about it can be said to be lucky they put the effort in, they got the result and thats all there is to it ;D

There is no such thing as lucky in sport I have to disagree there, if a team gets outplayed then win then they win i would say thats lucky, im not saying panthers were by the way as i wasnt at the games but just in a general circumstance thats what i think

Edinburgh... after we went 2 up... then caps came back and went 2 up we traded goal for goal all weekend.
BOTH teams played well to the final buzzer. In that respect Id say we were lucky we scored the final goal in both games. I know its all about the actual game time but 5 mins more either way and things could have been very different
Lucky as in we won when we didnt deserve to? Not a chance. We worked bloody hard for both those wins, especially after a dire second period on saturday

I wasn t in Edinburgh but got told a very good summary of both games by someone who was there.
We dug deep when we had too, perhaps we took our foot off the gas at 2 up on satursday and the caps had a great middle session but if that had happened last year , we d have had no answers to regain control, thats for sure, i love this never say die attitude, and in sport to suceed this is what you need, and plenty of it.
I ate this word lucky, fortunate, call it what you like, but you have to make your own luck by never giving in and i beleive Ellis had instilled this into the lads, 2 down in belfast , 2 down against belfast and again on sat, to do it 3 times is no fluke.
When your sides have players like Neilson, Simoes, Clarke , Mcaslan, theres always a chance rescuing the game.
Lucky , ... not a chance in my eyes, most importantly, we seem to have a TEAM that CARES !!!!
