One or two of my fellow Danish Forest (and Panthers ) supporters and myself will be travelling to Nottingham for the weekend 4th/5th of November to watch Forest vs Brentford and Panthers vs Steelers. How does the Challenge Cup work? I've noticed, that the two matches vs the Steelers are the only scheduled Challenge Cup matches for the Panthers, so does this mean, that it's a two-leg knock-out competition this year? In that case, I hope, we don't get hammered at Sheffield on the Friday night, which would make the 2nd leg rather uninteresting... And how do we get tickets for the match? We would probably need to buy tickets ahead of the game, and we don't arrive in Nottingham until Friday afternoon, so can we buy tickets online, and when do they go on sale? Thanks in advance

Go to the Panthers website for info on how to get tickets.A phone call may be a requisite to help you get them put aside. It may be a long way to com and miss out.
The Challenge Cup this year has a format that has teams play each other ( and so they should) RATHER than a section of the LEAGUE play be the decider on who qualifies.
But to fans it looks a bit pre-arranged regionally. We get Sheffield and there is another two team, two legged (home+ away) affair. The two other groups have 3 teams in them as a round robin stage.
So to sum up two groups of three and two groups (if you can call it that) of two. So all ten teams play for a semi final spot.

If your also going to the match in Sheffield on the Friday night then the tickets for Panthers are already on sale so probably a good idea to book them in advance. arena number is 00 44 114 256 56 56 from abroad. You need blocks 101,102,201,202

Thanks a lot. We won't be going to Sheffield on the Friday, but does anyone know, when the tickets for the 2nd leg at home goes on sale? And which blocks of Nottingham Arena do we need to avoid, cause we certainly don't want to sit among the Steelers...

I see, that the tickets are on sale now, but which blocks do the Steelers usually get, cause we don't want to sit near them...
Which blocks normally have the best atmosphere?

I think block 11 has the best atmosphere. The steelers fans usually sit in blocks 1, 2 & 3.

I guess it helps if they actually play your 'Horsie' theme tune too. Not noticed them play it this season yet. You been upsetting the players again Horseman?

I can assure you that the Horseman has not upset any of the players or staff so far this year, because mrs horseman and bangontheglass keeps him well under control.....honest!!! anyway his music hasn't been played at all this year....but he keeps us entertained in other ways....singing, shouting, cursing....and if you saw him last week doing spiderman and clinging for dear life to the giant panthers flag at the end of the game, to which he has no skin left at all on his shins..... it would have only taken one more goal last week and the mystery wrestler would no doubt have appeared EASY EASY !!!!!

Can someone tell me the deadline for season ticket holders to claim their seats? Sorry if this has already been given - dont have time to trawl through everything. Ta.
