i don't think we are missing him as such but we could difinately do with him (if that makes any sense without contradicting myself) the guy was pure class playing for us as his goals record and points record speaks for itself. i hope hes doing himself proud over in denmark

IMO we could do with him because we don't have a regular goalscorer. Granted they are coming from all around the team is a good thing (well bar galbraith and cook) but i think we needed a player that is going to score most games, when our forwards are going through a dry period, because is stages last season mcaslan carried us through part of the season.

McAslan - Tessier - Molin Levers - Richardson - Clarke Bergin - Myers - Galbraith Ferrara - M Richardson - Neil
Neilson - Toneys Meyers - Ndur
Hmm...

Hardly - his name's David Clarke. Clarkie has failed to score a goal in just 4 of 18 games this season. That's compared to the league's two leading goal scorers Calder and Beauregard (failed to score in 12 of 26 games played and 8 of 27 respectively). Every bit as consistent as McAslan I would suggest.

How he is doing in Denmark?
Do you want the diplomatic version or the brutal thruth. Either way you can have him back.

Well he is not doing very well. Scored goals the first 10 matches, after that nothing. Receiving A LOT of flak for his lack of game. Poor skating and stickhandling skills. Not able to create any chances on his own and has a good half dusin turnovers per game.
I would say that the generel feeling amongst fans here is that his game lacks the quality needed for the danish leauge. Foreign imports here need to be individually skilled and able to create chances and score and make things happend.
With the level of play here, the D men is up in your face and you do not get time or space to shoot and dangle around.
All in all i would say he is free on the market next season, my personal opinion.

i really don't get it.... Mcaslan was just as lazy as people say Jade is! his only difference was point production, but who is to say mcaslan would get as many points on the current team
He was a quicker skater than jade but he rarely back checked, and when going for a line change he was very slow to get off the ice. the majority of his shots were straight at the net minders chest and easy saves, I really don't think we would get anything more from Mcaslan, in fact i think Jade is a much more intelligent hockey player than Mcaslan. the problem is he is on the wrong line!

I can't even put in to words how strongly is disagree with most of what you've said (most of it apart from Macca's line changes!) When will we see Jade double shifting because he is so desperate to get the win for his team?? We won't. Macca was a revelation for Panthers, and Galbraith is a lazy *** who is here for the beer, nothing else! No comparison at all. Yea, he shouts and looks around like he's doing something important, but he rarely has the speed or inclination to do anything about it.... (so so many of his points are made up of 2nd assists.) I would take a half fit Macca over Jaded any day of the week!

Good point well made!! Is there ever to going to be a thread on here that doesn't give people an excuse to turn into a "Lets Slag Jade Off" session. Ok, so it's fair to say that people either pure & simply don't like him or just don't see the good points in his play that others clearly do see.

not a good point at all, No comparison between Jade and Macca, one of them scored a lot of goals and a lot of points, the other is Jade, when you are scoring all the time people will forgive the odd lazy skate off! When your not these things annoy even more!

1 point behind Bergin, and only 4 behind Molin, who have both played 2 more games than him.
Unyet Molin is having a good season and playing well by all accounts...

McAslan - as we all remember - had a lean spell in which he struggled to get his game going but at his best he was a terrific player who I'd have back like a shot; easiest gamble ever.

Molin plays a far better 2 way game than Jade, skates harder, goes into the corners and is still out scoring him. If Jade played the same way as Johan, I again wouldn't have issue with him, but he doesn't.

Jade got off on the wrong foot with alot of people because he was late here and is now reaping the cost of it.... his point production is not low.... its not massive but not low. it was exactly the same case with Simoes....this guy was useless and out of position more than pelltier last season, but for some reason (probably because he checked alot) alot of fans still love him and would have him back...... fan favourite does not always equate to a good player! IMO! (and thats all it is)

When your not these things annoy even more! I'm sorry, but that really is a good point. Macca was very lazy and a downright liability at times. Not just the odd lazy skate off as you pointed out. Why don't you just lay off Jade for once and concentrate on the team? Every other day you're on here slagging him off and it's just getting boring now

You can have him back next year for sure, if he wants to. I am sure he is a better fit in british hockey.

just looking at the danish hockey site and the leading scorer has 19 goals. mac is at 13, so surely he cant be doing that poorly. 2nd on his team in goals as well.
Im sure if the coach wants your opinion on whether or not to sign him back next year he will ask you for it Mikael
