Should have thought to make this a seperate thread, as not everyone will be reading the 'NPSC Coach To Edinburgh' thread... (For those who haven't read the other thread, this came about because I disagreed with people who said that Murrayfield was the coldest rink in the country, and one of the Caps fans - one HockeyAnimal - challenged me to do this) Photographic evidence will be provided for those who aren't there.... and no small amount of schadenfreude will be available for those who are! All contributions - large and small - welcome.... all going to the Lions - help them to develop more players like Moran, Scott, Woolhouse, Cooke, Neil etc.....

IMHO, the Three B's (Basingstoke, Blackburn and Bradford) are all colder. However, I have been assured by several people - both publicly and privately - that I am utterly insane, and that someone is going to need to fill a kid's inflatable paddling pool with dry martini, because there's going to be a Shaggy-sized ice cube available! ;D We shall see.....

Perhaps Wigwam and Therapy would like to donate a fiver each, as I'm still waiting for my kebab winnings from a bet about wearing shorts back in what seems like 1946.

Oh, I got a fair few comments, usually along the lines of "you're insane, you are!" ;D It was fairly cold in Murrayfield tonight - the breath was condensing in front of us! - although probably not the coldest I've known it there.....and having water chucked over me didn't exactly help.... but to be quite honest, I didn't really have all that much of a problem. The toes got a bit cold during the first period, but after a while I got used to it and didn't really notice. Many thanks to all those who have pledged money for the Lions (and those who have already passed some over to me) - your contributions are very much appreciated! I'll post the total on here when I find out what it is (probably some time on Monday)... although anyone else who wishes to contribute is more than welcome!

Nice work Shaggy. Fancy repeating the event next week at the NIC? Say, this time do it in your pants and string vest? ROTFLMAO! I wouldn't do that to people... that would be just too cruel! (besides - I don't have a string vest! ;D) Not that it would be much of a challenge... the NIC has to be the warmest rink in the country (and the only rink I've ever travelled to that is warmer has to be Amiens!) nath_2099 asked:-I'll probably be near the NPSC desk before the game - in breaks I can usually be found in the away section, near the NPSC desk or out on the plaza with the Pandas. Fairly easy to recognise (long hair, goatee beard, denim jacket with big Panthers patch on the back)... BTW - so far, including pledges made on here, on THF and money handed to me this weekend by various people at Murrayfield (you're all great! ;D) the total contribution to the Nottingham Lions currently stands at £90 - which is more than I was hoping for! ;D ;D ;D To those who have promised or handed over cash - THANK YOU! To everyone else? - you know where to find me....
