things like this just don't get built in Nottingham and if it is built it Will be scaled down massively as there are two many people in Nottingham who don't like change
epecially if it is good for the city, for example broadmarsh, the chek whyte tower(s) etc both will be awesome for the city but one of them is massivly behind schedual an all news has gone quiet on it and the other one will be either scaled down so some mid rise dull building like the rest of the buildings in nottingham or not built at all

Heja is correct that Nott'm is a backward city when it comes to development. The only hope for this development is the push for the World Cup bid.
Nottingham needs this. I wonder if Notts could leave ML too. They already share with N RFU.

The only thing that swings this decision is the 2018 host. If we get it, we get the stadium. If we don't, we don't. You don't take the NIC into account with your little slating of Notts there.

The transport system around there sucks, The trains station/bus routes are nowhere near and to get to that area by car especially if new to nottingham is hard. Plus it's not exactly the most flowing of road systems in that area.
Unless they can overcome these, poor west bridgeford and all around there will hate match days more than people hate them at this moment in time.

Only because the original plans were more than a little overly-ambitioua.

If it happened - fantastic! But I have to admit I'm a little skeptic about it, and I agree the development work in Nottingham doesn't seem to flow so smoothly. How many years ago did they produce the plans for a new broadmarsh/train station/bus station and all that? But nothing seems to happen. We do need a new stadium, but 50,000 capacity? We need to sort the team out first or we'll struggle to get half that!
