The GB Uni team is currently playing some warm up games prior to their trip to Italy next February for the Student Olympics. Last week they played Peterborough EPL team and lost 8-0. This Sunday (17th Sept) they face the Milton Keynes Lightning FO 6.30pm (I believe) at Milton Keynes. There are many of the Nottingham players in the squad: Geoff Woolhouse (current Panther) Richard Wojciak (former Panther) Colm Cannon (current Lion) Stewart Bliss (former Lion) James Cooke (current Panther) Craig Poynter (current Lion) Adam Robinson (current Lion) I'm not sure who played against Peterborough, or who will be playing against Milton Keynes, as it depends if the Panthers release their players. They are coached by Mike Urquhart and Matt Bradbury. I will post more information as I get it. A list of the complete squad is on www.icehockeyuk.co.uk/teams.asp?TeamID=9At present I do not know ticket prices, but I will get back to you. Hope to see you there!

Could you clarify, please - is this game being held at Milton Keynes, the NIC or elsewhere?

Well I'm up in Nottingham this weekend, as I have Wales training at the NIC, so I'm going to pop in on my way back down to London. I'm really looking forward to it! However, I am going on my own, and would appreciate sitting next to someone...
The GB Uni team was only really formed this year, and these two games are their first ever. Its been hard work setting it up, but it is a fantastic step forward for British hockey!

I just got the team list from the website. I spoke to Simon Hopkins, the manager, who said the information was on there. Obviously there's difficulty with getting players released from Elite, even EPL teams, so other players are drafted in.
