How the hell do you know it's down to lack of drive...that's how rumours start and what a nice welcome for the guy. Jumping to conclusions! Great.
And no it doesn't deserve it's own thread. Until we see him on the ice and can see his workrate/effort levels, no one can really say much about this IMHO.

This sounds like a very silly rumour to start before we've even seen the guy! It's been well documented in the news that the new visa controls etc have severely delayed the process.

He's just showing solidarity with the Bison players and will come over with them (maybe) or he's just not motivated ;D.

This has been on another thread but thought it deserved on of it's own. It has been said that the delay in getting a visa is all down to his lack of drive. I have a bad feeling about this and wonder what others are thinking or have heard 1) Doesn't really warrant a new thread. 2) Please point me in the direction of the 'lack of drive'. 3) Work visa aren't a 1hr walk in walk out process. 4) If I am wrong. Feel free to start a martinski83 was wrong thread.

I'm having trouble working out the logic (if any) behind the premise of this thread. Jade Galbraith's visa application and/or approval is running a bit late - for reasons completely unknown to us - and what is the conclusion? That he somehow lacks 'drive', and is therefore someone to worry about. Come again? Granted, I'm a bit rusty on the scientific terminology of human psychology (hey - university was a fair few years ago!) but that sounds very much like 'projection' to me (or is it 'transference'?). Ie: interpreting facts based upon existing prejudices. Otherwise known as seeing what you want to see. Wake me up when we get to the conspiracy theories involving the CIA, aliens or Elvis...

Here's a thought (conspiracy theory ), maybe he is having second thoughts, ala Mr Richards. Or maybe his visa is taking much longer than expected.

TBH Oldman I, like everyone else on this thread, have no idea why Galbraith has not yet arrived. It's a very paranoid viewpoint that just because he hasn't arrived yet means he isn't commited to the cause. If anywhere this thread should probably go in the rumours as what's being said in here is not based on any factual information and at this stage is purely hearsay. Work visas are tough. The last one I needed took 4 weeks, of which I was without my passport. Each country has specific rules and regulations towards immigration and it may be the case that a hearing would be required. Only yesterday, Everton had been trying to sign a Nigerian player and despite 3 months of waiting, the players application was turned down. Everton then appealed and it was turned down again.

Agreed, and that's only as a result of narrowly escaping deletion. What a silly assumption, it's pure guess work! A mate of mine applied for a GB passport more than 3 months before we were due to go to Amsterdam and after several screw ups by the post office and the passport office he finally got his passport a month after the rest of us got back. None of it was his fault, it was just total incompetence on the part of those dealing with his application. We have no reason to suspect that this delay is the fault of either Galbraith or the club.

Just a quick reminder of the forum's most important rule:
GOLDEN RULE: You agree to take full responsibility for your comments, even in the case of legal proceedings as a result of your comments.
If those making assertions as to who is at fault for Galbraith's late arrival don't have evidence to back up their claims then I suggest they edit their posts.
