Hi there!
A mate and I are coming over from Copenhagen on either November the 4th or the 25th to watch Forest and the Panthers play on the same day...
It will either be:
Nottingham Forest vs Brentford Nottingham Panthers vs Sheffield Steelers (Challenge Cup)
or
Nottingham Forest vs Millwall Nottingham Panthers vs Belfast Giants
My question now is, which date would you recommend us to choose?
I know, that the games vs the Steelers are the biggest ones, but this is just a cup game, so will that still attract a near full house crowd, or will the atmosphere be better at the League game against Belfast Giants?
Cheers!

I reckon the Sheffield game will easily have the biggest turnout. Likely to be more away fans and therefore a better atmosphere too.

Yeah, I'd suggest the Sheffield game as well. Even though it will be a cup game, it should have a good enough atmosphere.

You will need to buy your tickets for the Sheffield fixture well in advance because we always have a good turnout and you may be restricted to where you sit.

The Panthers don't do league titles. Not even Carlsberg can manage that!

Panthers are more likely to beat Sheffield than Belfast. I'd say the atmosphere would be better v Sheffield.
Brentford are promotion rivals and so that is the better game. They'll be over 20000 for that one. Many Forest fans avoid the match v Millwall for obvious reasons.
Choose Sheffield/Brentford.

Both Brentford and Steelers are bigger than Milwall and Belfast. Easy choice.

Thanks a lot for all your replies! I noticed that the two games against the Steelers are the only Panthers games in the Challenge Cup, so will the aggregate score of those two games deciede, which team moves on to the next round or how does it work??? I think, we'll try and get tickets for the Steelers bashing at Nottingham Arena then... ;D When can we buy those tickets, and can they be bought online? Cheers

I would take Nottingham v Belfast.
You have 2 offensively minded teams, which will make for a more interesting game to watch.
Some of the recent Nottingham v Sheffield games have frankly been dire.
