For a player who couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag the LNAH is going to takes it's toll on him. Would of been a perfect player for a lower EIHL side imo

I'd hate to be the kind of player he is in that league. Getting up the noses of players who'd scare the hell out of Payette is not an exciting prospect. I bet however they see him as a top liner though.

No way would Simoes be a top liner in the LNAH. Simoes would be a 3rd liner at best. Don'y forget the skill level of the LNAH is on par with the ECHL. I don't think he'll play there it's probably Sherbrooke just got his rights in that league meaning nobody else could sign him.. The LNAH from next season only allows 1 player per team who is from outside of Quebec. I don't think a team would waste the only import slot on a guy like Simoes.

I thought only the NHL do that thing. If thats the case then will he play in Laredo again? Sherbrooke must see him as a good signing that could do decent ice time otherwise why waste money on him? Your right though, he's probably not top line, but not far off if he plays with the right people.

I think the AHL and maybe even the ECHL do it, might be wrong though
I thought that with the right line mates he could do a job in the EIHL, I doubt he'd be on massive money

I'm sure AHL and ECHL don't as they're tied into NHL affiliate contracts.

The LNAH just cover rights as Zukiwskyfan says. So anyone potentially moving to their league has to have claimed rights to a team. This happens every summer, Payette usually gets a mention if he leaves it late before signing for a team. Doesnt mean he has signed there.
Simoes would get hurt in the LNAH!
